"Was finally able to give MOTW a try after being on my radar for over a month now and am happy to have found a new good coffee option in the Naperville/Plainfield area. This is a big open cafe that had lots of available seating on a late saturday afternoon and offers a nice variety of drinks and food. I'm not the biggest fan of pumpkin but I went on a limb and ordered the Pumpkin Pie White Mocha off their seasonal menu and it is one of the better fall flavored lattes that I have had this year. They don't overdo it with the sweetness or spices so it was a nice balanced drink pick me up. I hadn't had lunch so the baked empanadas in the pastry case were just calling to me when I placed my order. Although the butter chicken sounded the most interesting I ended up going with the halal beef, bacon, egg and cheese. The staff offered to warm it up and also some sauce options: a sriracha aioli or mango chutney. The aioli seemed like the obvious choice but I opted for the mango chutney for some reason but this ended up being a great move as the breading and really took on an even more tasty breakfast quality with the sweet tang of the mango added. The filling in the empanada was also notable: A few nice sized strips of well seasoned beef wrapped in fluffy scrambled eggs and cheese with bits of bacon too. All in all the food and drinks were good but I did feel that the price point was still a bit high. More so for the empanada than the drink though. Staff were also nice and I liked the relaxed environment so I will more than likely be stopping into MOTW again in the future."

"I recently tried this café and I’m so glad I did! I love supporting businesses with a purpose, and this one truly stands out. Their menu has such amazing options—I’ve tried the Nutella croissant, empanadas, date cookie, refresher, and coffee, and every single one was absolutely delicious. The aesthetics of the café are beautiful, with thoughtful artwork all around, and I really enjoy reading the stories about how much they’ve given back to communities worldwide. It’s inspiring and makes the experience even more meaningful. I highly recommend this café! One of my favorite drinks to get here is the iced Caramel Avalanche—it’s a must-try."

"Went in based off of a TikTok review of the Palatine location. Tried the Pistachio Latte (hot) and the chocolate chip banana bread. The latte was OK, but the bread was DELICIOUS. Would love to come back another time, try a different Latte and a different pastry. I love the "Coffee with a Purpose" theme and mission."

"We stopped by this lovely spot and had a great experience! We tried a halal empanada and an Asian-style bagel with labneh (Turkish cream cheese), and both were absolutely delicious. The flavors were fresh and unique—definitely something you don’t find just anywhere. The coffee and matcha were also excellent—smooth, well-balanced, and clearly made with care. What really makes this place stand out is the aesthetic. It’s beautifully designed, cozy, and welcoming. The vibe makes you feel right at home the moment you walk in. Highly recommend for anyone looking for good food, great drinks, and a place that feels like a little hidden gem."
