"This coffee bar is huge with lots of variety in seating. We ordered tea, coffee and the bagel sandwich, which was outstanding. The barista failed to make a cappuccino with our order, promptly apologized and then issued a credit for the coffee. Mistakes happen, but how you handle them is what makes the difference. This establishment understands customer service for sure."

"EDIT: Boy, was I wrong about Grounded Books. I asked them if they would like to carry a local author’s book, and they replied, “We would absolutely love to support local authors!” Then, silence. I’ve tried calling and messaging to find out if they’ve started stocking the books like I recommended, but despite first showing a lot of enthusiasm, they ghost me every time. Today, they blocked me on Instragram for asking again. Why the silence? You’d think they’d leap at the chance to stock an author published by PenguinRandomHouse, has starred reviews from Kirkus and Booklist, named by Kirkus as the best middle grade book of 2023, is a Junior Library Guild gold standard book, and is nominated for the 2026 Illinois Reading List. Grounded Books carried a lot of middle grade books too, so I am really confused why they not only refuse to carry this author’s books, and would rather block me rather than answer my question. It's sad because I was ready for this to be my favorite bookstore. I won’t support a local business that promises to support local authors, then not only refuses to do so, but silences me when I ask."

"Grounded Coffee Bar and Grounded Books is one of my favorite places in New Lenox. The coffee shop has spectacular service and quality items. The staff is always friendly and welcoming. It’s the perfect space to cozy up with a book, share coffee with a friend, or hunker down and do some work. There is plenty of space to meet in small groups and they offer the option to utilize the space for meetings and groups. It’s perfect! The book shop is extraordinary. The selection is so phenomenal - there truly is something for everyone and every genre. I also LOVE the merch!! Bookish tops, candles, and more - perfect gifts for your fellow bookworm."
