"If you have not been to Portillo's on Sterling Ave in Peoria yet then you don't know what your missing! One mouth watering delicious meal. My favorite is their Italian beef sandwich. Lots of other great choices too."

"The chopped salad was pretty good, could have used a little more chicken in it, but other than that it was good. My fiance had the Italian beef with fries and she enjoyed it. Her daughter had the chicken strips and fries and said they were good as well."

"I haven't been to a Portillo's for probably over a decade. I decided to pop in for dinner last minute, and this place is just as good as I remember! Even the building is structured the same way! Talk about a nostalgia trip haha!"

"I was going to Home Depot Sunday evening and on my way there I got a craving for the Chicago style hotdog carts. Sadly they weren’t there cause it was Sunday. So my wife and I looked up Chicago dogs near me and Portillos came up. We were so excited and we thought this would be our new favorite place, especially being so close to our home. Firstly, the girl taking our order in the drive through was being very short and not very friendly, and when we asked for recommendations she would just shrug and it made us feel silly especially for it being our first time. Anyways, we said to ourselves we aren’t going to let that bother us; we are too excited for our Chicago dogs. Once we received our food, we pulled over in the parking lot to eat because we just couldn’t wait! When we pulled the food out the bag, we noticed we didn’t get everything cause the lady who took our order got it wrong. Then we bit into our food and not only was the meat burnt and black on the outside it was cold on the inside. The meat had no snap to it. I was really frustrated and turned off, so I went inside and got my money back. I would not recommend"

"I have been to this Portillo’s a few times over the last few years. The establishment is clean. Plenty of room for larger groups. The onion rings were crisp and delicious. Chicken strips were very tender and fried just right. My husband said his Philly was good. Now, the famous fries on the other hand. Very disappointing. Soggy and Luke warm. And they are doing something different with the strawberry shakes. In previous years it seemed homemade. Strawberries and ice cream. This time not many strawberries and it was foamy like the fake shakes at McDonald’s. Not a fan. Bring back the deliciousness please"
