"I ordered a small dark roast house brew, while my mom ordered a decaf Americano (she ordered a second one when we were leaving because she liked it!). I didn't find my coffee any special--I was expecting some rare coffee hints haha; hence, my 3 star rating. We did wait for awhile to receive our coffees, but it was okay...maybe not when someone is busy. P.s. The cafe vibe is good for studying, which is a plus :)"

"Was in the area and got hungry. Came across this wonderful gem! Upon entering the atmosphere is very comfy and cozy. I was also offered a sample of ice cream upon entering that was more than a spoonful. They have a wide selection of drinks and a smaller selection of food. The staff was so kind and warm. I ordered the breakfast sandwich and affogato. Neither disappoint. I was left full and with a new favorite café."

"Love this place! After the HP Shooting, my family had no where to go and we drove until we found somewhere that was open. This was the place! The owner happened to be there and let us hide out until we had access to go back home. Beyond their care for community, I would argue that it is the best prepared coffee in Illinois - North Shore for SURE! I am from Washington state, just south of Seattle. I spent a lot of time working in coffee - Cafe De Oro is the closest thing to Seattle Coffee life that the area has to offer. Great community, great coffee and plus THEY HAVE A DRIVE THROUGH and REMEMBER! your drink. Like we stepped back in time when customer service mattered and your coffee was made correctly with care.
