"This place is TRASH. Which sucks because we heard nothing but great things about it from our friends. We were seated quickly, order for food & drinks taken fast, drinks & food were delivered by two different people who weren’t our server. Then we were NEVER checked on again. Food wasn’t great, but the strawberry OJ was really good. The side plate of bacon came in a pool of grease, the pieces were dripping when you picked them up and I had to dry them off with a napkin. Our skillets were also very greasy, and my toast was hardly toasted with half of it covered in butter. We sat and waited over 20 minutes when we were done eating for our server to come and give us our bill, and she never showed. Everyone around us was waited on, but not us. We ended up going to the front to pay, and that’s when our server finally showed up with our bill because she saw us talking to the host about our issues. So she couldn’t check on us during the whole time, couldn’t give us our ticket, but came running when we got up to pay and leave… interesting. It’s not like we were seated in the back, we were seated in the front, by the host stand and kitchen. When we voiced our complaints to the workers, they brushed us off and said they were busy. Never coming back!"

"Stopped in for breakfast after flying into Rockford. Huge menu! Hot coffee! Specials and quite an array of different selections to choose. Host sat us immediately and waitress was very attentive and offered suggestions ti help narrow down exactly what we should have. Would definitely recommend and stop in again."

"I am giving 5 stars because the food looked great, the staff was super friendly and the restaurant was clean and inviting. The only thing I can say was first the pancakes were a bit cakey which I had seen from a few other reviews. Second my food was good but I ordered a skillet which was a make your own and there were a small amount of hash browns. I ordered a skillet with bacon, sausage and mushroom with cheddar cheese. There was a very small amount of hash browns but it was good. There was an extreme amount of bacon a few mushrooms and a few sausage. I also ordered a French vanilla cappuccino which in my opinion was powdered and had not enough water but, the fresh whip cream on top was an absolute dream. My skillet had a choice of English muffin, toast or pancakes and I chose pancakes. My son just ordered a pancake combo which consisted of scrambled eggs, bacon and pancakes. I tried his pancakes and took mine home. They did taste like cake almost like something in the batter doesn’t make them rise when cooked. I am giving this 5 stars like I said above because it was a good breakfast and great service. There is a very large menu and very unique things to choose from."

"The place for breakfast in Rockford. I got the barbacoa skillet and she got the biscuits with gravy. The skillet was phenomenal and I highly recommend it. It comes with fresh jalapenos so if you don't like spicy you can take those out. The biscuits with gravy were flavorful and tasted home made. The surprise were the pancakes which came with the skillet. I didn't want to put syrup on them because it would ruin the taste. Definitely check Jerry's Cafe."

"First time going, honest take aways The place was packed and I had never heard of it and didn't realize it was even there so that is a good sign right? 2 people our bill was 32$ we had breakfast I got the cornbeef hash omelette with pancakes and hash browns my daughter got the butchers omelette with toast and fruit cup. Most of the food was nothing special but the pancakes were very good. Daughter said the bacon in her omelette was terribly tough and the chunks of ham were rubbery. My hash browns were very oily. The fruit cup was a hefty portion of several options which was nice. Our table was terribly rickety to the point my coffee was constantly spilling. There were fruit flies everywhere. It took terribly long for the food to come out I know it was busy but I'm just saying. Other patrons seemed to enjoy the selves and maybe I'm just a crotchety old Karen now a days, my bad. But the power went out twice. Didn't seem to phase anyone there. I however found it extraordinarily bizarre both that it happened not once but twice but also that no one seemed to address it or apologize or explain it or anything lol. Is this a common occupance? Seems strange. Staff not the friendliest either. We tried it. We won't be back but it was very busy so take that into consideration that others seemed to enjoy it. We go to lots of diners and I also work at a restaurant so maybe I'm just super biased. Overall I'd say it was nothing to write home about"
