"1-21-26 Last time through we had excellent service and received exactly what we ordered but this time was not good. We ordered 1 large (hot) and 1 large (cold) decaf Americano with extra heavy cream. Simple right? Well, I guess not because we got to the window and they had 2 20 oz drinks ready for us. My wife asked "is that a large"? To which the young lady replied "you said 20 oz" to which my wife replied "I said large". The young lady turned away with attitude and proceeded to remake the drinks. My wife also asked about the mini donuts when we got to the window and her questions were answered by a young lady. After answering my wife's questions, the young lady stated to my wife "for future, next time order at the speaker". When my wife asked her why it's an issue having questions at the window when we were interested in possibly purchasing something at the last minute. The young lady stated , "I was just saying we can answer your questions at the speaker... seriously? She did finally say she was sorry for everything after my wife let her know that her customer service skills were not good. What's the issue with changing your mind and wanting to maybe add something to your order at the window? 🤔 After we received our order and were on our way back home, we tried the mini donuts that we purchased only to realize that they were not the flavor we ordered. And the hits keep coming. There's more to the overall situation but just understand that the customer service on this day was terrible! After realizing that the donuts were wrong, my wife called the coffee shop and spoke to a "shift lead" (her description of herself) and did let her know the situation to which she replied that she will have an order of donuts and a coffee credit for my wife the next time she comes through. Much appreciated! We do love HAE's coffee and treats which we have had many times at several locations and this experience was not what we've come to expect from HAE's. Hopefully the management can use this situation as a training tool for current and future employees. 👍 Apologizing and keeping your attitude in check is part of customer service. Had the young lady apologized and corrected the mistake immediately without attitude, this entire situation could have been different. 👍 We will continue to patronize HAE"s because we do love their coffee."
