"BLUF: Great little place to get a bagel and cream cheese or a delicious deli style sandwich quickly. My wife and I really love this place. It’s definitely not fancy or upscale, but the food and coffee are great. It’s a “simple order at the counter” kind of local place. The workers are always nice."

"We are new to Cortland, from Elgin, and had a taste for bagels. Trying to find something similar to our beloved Big Apple Bagels which we had become accustomed to. We tried another local DeKalb shop recently and it did not hit the spot, so this time we decided to try Shawns. We are really happy with our choice! Shawn and his staff were very attentive and pleasant. The breakfast bagels (I had a ham and cheddar on a sesame bagel, hubby had bacon, egg and cheese on plain) were fantastic! I took home an Everything bagel with olive cream cheese, cause I had to try the cream cheese, and it was also very good. The coffee was spot on and nice and hot. I'd love to go back to try the homemade soup and a lunch sandwich next time. We really enjoyed our breakfast a couple weeks ago and will definitely go back."
