What People Are Saying
from Google & Yelp"One of our favorite places in Indiana! Especially during October! You can’t beat the quaint atmosphere of this town and the uniqueness of this restaurant. We have brunched there many times, but just had our first dinner experience and it was absolutely fantastic! The vegetarian lasagna was better than mine (and that’s my #1 dish according to my husband). 🤣 highly recommended! Although the dinner menu is less expansive than the brunch, there is something for everyone and prices are unbelievably reasonable."
"Amazing resturant. Food was delicious and filling. Lots of drink options. There is a beautiful outdoor seating area. I absolutely cannot stress how delicious the food was. It was heavy for summer but so delicious. Enjoyed the seating and the dining experience."
"We arrived on a weekday at 10am. I immediately felt like a Hobbit ready for “second breakfast”. Though the outdoor seating in the courtyard looked inviting, we opted to dine inside. Inside was bigger than it appeared from the courtyard, with booths and tables available. Woodsy decor and art were everywhere, making it feel both bohemian and quaint. With a large menu of upscale takes on comfort classics, we ordered: 🥔 The Scrap Pile 🥓 Bacon Gravy Over Roasted Potatoes with a side of Bacon 🧇 Hummingbird Waffle Stack 🍳 Little Bird Breakfast The Scrap Pile was a one-bowl breakfast and their most popular dish. The standout was the ham, being wonderfully smoky and tender. The biscuits were a bit boring and felt like filler. I love home fries and roasted potatoes for breakfast and these were great. The Bacon Gravy was on the lighter side (seriously) and had a nice peppered taste. If anything was lacking, adding Bacon Gravy made it better. The Hummingbird Waffle Stack surprised me. With an oatmeal-like consistency, I thought the pineapple ricotta spread and banana cream sauce was going to be an odd combination. But it worked! In fact, the longer I chewed the more I liked it. The waffle was crispy, the candied pecans were nutty and sweet. My apologies to its creator for pre-judging. 🙏 The Little Bird Breakfast came with bacon, and they nailed the cooking method. It was thick and hearty with a soft bite but kept its shape when picked up. Flavor was on point too. If you are looking for vegan or vegetarian options you’ll find several on the menu— and they are clearly marked. Lunch, dinner, and drink options also looked curiously delicious. A second visit is definitely in order. The only hiccup we encountered was the unavailability of several items— two of which were what I had planned to order. I’m guessing they sold lots of French toast and quiche over the weekend. Thankfully our server made us aware prior to taking our order."
"10/10 all around from the service to the atmosphere to the food. Looking forward to coming to try the breakfast and dinner menus as well. Absolutely perfect little restaurant!"
"We had reservations but they didn't have a table at first, then gave us a crowded table, pushed against a wall. The french toast was not what's advertised on line. The eggs potatoes bacon meal was over cooked hard eggs, only got about 3 or 4 little pieces of potatoes and tuff sourdough bread. Our adult. Son, who loves biscuits and gravy, barely ate 1/2. The only thing we liked was our server and the scarecrows outside. Not sure we would return"
"I've been past here 100 times, you have too....but it's hidden. This place is a gem! The staff are all super friendly and so welcoming. Nestled behind..."
