"What a cute place! An unexpected gem found in Hays, KS. Many choices to make even the pickiest eaters happy. I was surprised by the quality of wagyu beef used for their chicken fried steak. My chicken and waffles toped with Sriracha honey were amazing. Buttermilk waffle was nice and crisp and fluffy inside, full of flavor on its own. Eggs Benedict were great, maybe 2 seconds too long on the eggs but otherwise yummy. Very nice food presentation for all dishes. I wish to try them for dinner in the future. The bar is well stocked with great choices in bourbon! The amount of thought that went into this place is beyond comprehension: the design, tiles, bathroom, all the decor is top notch and something you would expect in metropolitan cities. Anytime you are on i70 heading through Hays, stop at Breaks. Its worth it!"

"Stopped in to eat breakfast and was extremely surprised by the service and quality of food. We were seated immediately and waited less than 3 minutes for our waitress to bring water to us and take our order. I had the pancake meal and it was more than I was able to finish and the whole meal was fantastic. Our waitress returned to our table several times and refilled our coffee and water at least 4 or 5 times. The next time I am in Hays, I will definitely be stopping to eat."

"Wow such a treat! Fine dining, delicious food, clean environment, friendly staff, and beautiful decor. Ordered the breakfast burrito and Mimi's pancakes. The side of hashpuppies was so cute and delicious (looked like eggs in a nest). They also have an espresso machine!"

"Wow! We are traveling between Kansas City and Colorado Springs and of course stopped in Hays for the evening. I was tired of fast food and saw this Chinois salad on the menu. We went in early for dinner and had the whole place to ourselves. My daughter got the kids Chicken crispers and my son got the kids burger. The quality of the food was phenomenal. Atmosphere was open, bright, and clean. This was possibly the nicest restaurant we ate at during our whole trip. We might stop in for breakfast tomorrow before we leave! Do not miss this excellent restaurant!"
