"What a special place! Harvey County, listen up! You need to visit The Local Table in North Newton. Everything was made fresh and made from scratch. The restaurant is located in the bluestem community. The building is beautiful as well as the restaurant. I had the biscuits and gray breakfast and potatoes with eggs, and it was all so tasty. The coffee and orange juice were also very good. If you're looking for a really nice breakfast option, you'll want to check this gem out!"

"I usually have a good experience here, but today my party seated ourselves and were not greeted by the server (Angel). We observed her clearing dishes and tending to the only other table in the restaurant four different times while we waited to be greeted. We waited for 15 minutes before the server even acknowledged our presence by bringing the water and asking about what drinks were wanted. My friend with us overheard her tell a staff member that was coming on shift that she was tired of customers coming in and seating themselves. My friend politely expressed to this server that I had been here before a couple times and there has never been a sign that tells guests to wait to be seated. She claimed there was supposed to be one. My friend also said to the server that if she has something to complain about to just remember to say it out of earshot of the people it's in regards to. Took her a while to bring our coffee and we still didn't have silverware. When she came to take our order, we were pretty certain that she had a bad attitude towards us so I asked to just pay for the coffee and we would go somewhere else. I informed her that her attitude was apparent and that was our reason for leaving. She denied having an attitude despite observing it multiple times. I expressed that we didn't even enjoy the coffee we were paying for because we had no silverware to doctor them, but out of respect for the owner, I felt it was the right thing to do. I will go back, but I will not stay if she's the only server. Appalled at her behavior and the represented service."

"It wasn’t that good at all. Is was very pricey for what you got. The blt only had two pieces of burnt bacon on it. The bread was very over cooked it was like rock. My teeth hurt after eating it. My friends got eggs and they were cold. It took them an hour to give us our food. Very slow. I wouldn’t get the tomato soup because it was very bland and very bad. I would not recommend. I asked for a refill and the guy got real mad at me for it."

"This place was honestly a let down. From the staff, the wait, and food, I would never go to this restaurant again. Our waiter was very impatient and he never seemed to care about us. We waited over an hour for our food and was never apologized to. When our food came out, there was no sauce or flavor. It was nice and clean, but it did not exude any warmth or hospitality."

"The place was very disappointing, from the long wait times between ordering and being served, our waiter was not happy to be there at all, and it showed. Would not recommend dining at the establishment. The was also bad from bland soup to under cooked hash browns, and burnt toast. It was a major let down for the people I was with and myself."
