What People Are Saying

from Google

"A beautiful library with a coffee shop and ample room indoors. There is a fun story walk and playground, as well as plenty of seating in the outdoor areas of the grounds."

★★★★★

"A beautiful library with many amazing features, great events, friendly staff and a whole lot of amazing happening! There is something you MUST know before you go- be warned the restroom has the most horrific ventilation that causes scents so foul you will be left gagging like a cat with a stuck hairball on repeat until you are freed from the constraints of the bathroom. The first time I was struck with the scent I feared someone may have been having a rough day, but as the scientist I am, I ran many trials across many days and have found the odor persists. I intentionally leave my water in my car to avoid going anywhere near the restrooms. If you can go and NOT enter the restroom, you will have a fantastic day and a delightful trip!"

"The lady at the front desk was so kind and helpful and for that I give this place 5 stars. I haven’t been to many libraries but this has to be the best one in Kansas And Missouri. They may have to get some sort of security to keep law and order. I remember in Colorado every library I went to had one so people usually obeyed the rules more."

"Beautiful library, sweet staff, but whoever designed it sure wasn't thinking "library". When my kids were young we loved all the library resources and programs and I'm thankful this library offers that...but the large open space allows every sound to travel. Every child's cry. Every babies giggle. Every conversation. Even the "quiet room" doesn't block it out. The study rooms have glass side partitions which also make it difficult to achieve a quiet space as its all too easy to hear conversations from the next room over. All and all, poorly designed making it a less than ideal space for those seeking a true library study space."

"I went for their quarterly book sale. Donated used books in various condition are on sale for $0.50 (paperbacks) or $1 (hardbacks) in a variety of genres. There's occasional great finds. I also visited their book store which sales discontinued or donated books in much nicer condition for $2. Smaller selection but some good fines and somwhat more recent publications."
