"This was my first visit to Caffetteria Modern Cafe & Market in Kansas City, and I wish I lived closer because I would be a regular. I went for lunch with a friend and was pleasantly surprised to see a half sandwich and salad combo for $15. I ordered the 1/2 turkey avocado sandwich with the Adam and Eve salad. At first, I worried the portions might not be filling enough, but once the food arrived I was thrilled. The serving size was generous and both the sandwich and salad were absolutely delicious. Instead of a server here, you just go up to the register and order then they will bring your food over to your table. I also loved the corner of the cafe stocked with grab-and-go items and fun kitchen trinkets. Overall, such a great spot and I would recommend it to anyone in the area."

"I ordered a bowl of soup ($10) to go. Brought it home and it didn't even fill up half of a normal sized bowl. I called the store, thinking they gave me a cup size by mistake, but was told that I received correct order. And since it was ordered online through Door Dash, they said there was nothing they could do. Update: someone reached out to my email and said they'd credit me."

"Service is really poor. Food is sub par and very inconsistent. Where do I begin. I have gotten food from here several times out of convenience. Jokes on me because it’s never convenient. They cannot get a take out order correct which prompts calling for a refund or driving back to get the correct food that I ordered. My order is 2-3 items at most and is not complicated so I don’t understand how you forget an item or mess it up. Overall it’s not worth the headache. I’m not writing this off of one experience mind you, this is based off of several. Mind you it’s my problem at this point because I keep giving them multiple chances but have finally had the last straw. There are better places for food in Prairie Village that are more consistent."

"So so food. Usually poor service. I keep giving this overpriced panera knock off tries and it keeps failing —weird signs in the bathroom trying to establish morals “we care about bathroom hygiene so please knock 3x before entering…” followed by a list of other things to do. Super weird. —food is bad —picked up a salad and saw veggies in it which were not on the ingredients list. What other undeclared ingredients/allergens are in the food? —2x I have gone in and the place smelled like when a restaurant doesn’t clean properly and the drains and grease traps and start getting a bad odor. hydrogen sulfide. It reeks. It’s also unsafe. Place needs to clean properly."

"Excellent food. Meatballs are a great deal, 3 for $6. Very large portion. The chicken sandwich with apples was excellent. Great cobb salad. The menu doesn't list the prices. The dining area was dirty and could not find a clean table."
