What People Are Saying
from Google"My first time visiting here. Showed up in moment of 'might as well,' around 3pm on a thursday. Like today, 1/29, have almost always seen the drive thru being full, which is promising, especially for this area. 1 person at a table, relaxing, and I was happily greeted with a "Welcome!" 2 people behind the counter. There is an outside covered seating area that would be wonderful with 70+ degree weather. Nice. The staff explained everything once I mentioned I hadn't been here yet. Think about an expertly stocked coffee bar, and a half top shelf alcohol bar that starts serving that at 6Pm. Music playing was an eclectic mix of modern hippie mixed with a touch of reggae. Seemed to match the folks behind the counter. Great hang out music, conversations, too. I opted for the drink of the day, a hot Grande (medium sized) Sticky Toffee Latte. The Strawberry Cream Cheese Danish looked yummy in the display case, so I ordered it, too. My bill was $8.74. I support small, private businesses with cash, as it is cheaper for them as well. My latte was delicious but the temperature cooled off quickly. The danish didn't last long at all, only because it too was mmmmm so good. 34 degrees outside and was hoping for a bit warmer inside. A bit drrafty. Made the trip to the restroom and back. Warmest area is the first table, about 20 feet in. Space heater mounted above in the back by the restrooms set to 85, kept the back area at maybe 67 degrees. Definitely did not sit back there. Plenty of cozy seating. Previous pictures show lazy chairs and a different layout of sorts. Call those growing pains. All existing seating are wooden chairs. 4 Bartop tables, a row against the wall for single seating, and 4 short tables. Every table has electric outlets with USB plugins (bonus). Bathroom updated nicely. (I wish businesses would have a QR code for the designer or for preset photos). Even the google photos don't include the bathroom. Now, to NOT be a negative judgemental a-hole, do not use poor reviews that don't make any attempt to leave any noteworthy points of VALID information. Locally owned business work very hard at doing better for everyone, especially their clientele. If food isn't prepared to your liking, tell someone. So, it is hard for me to put a 4/5 on atmosphere. So, here's why. Once the south facing door up front is open, the temperature at my table door dropped a few degrees. There is a very unsightly 14" flex supply duct that is exposed and sticking out through the ceiling and facing the front door. So, yeah, the conditioning of the space could be fixed."
"We enjoyed our experience at Il Primo! We tried the breakfast sandwich with croissant, bacon, egg, and cheddar. You could also choose Swiss, a different meat, and choice of bread. I got a vanilla/toffee latte, which was very delicious! The blueberry scones were pretty good and not dry. The strawberry danish was also tasty! We will definitely be back! The layout is long and moderately slender, which actually helps spread out the people and noise perfectly."
"Never spit something out so fast in my life. Worst breakfast plate. How do you burn scramble eggs? Never coming back here. Coffee sucks anyway"
"This is hands-down the best coffee in Wichita! I drive all the way across town for this dirty chai latte, LET ME TELL YOU! 🙌 it does seem to a crowd favorite so sometimes they get pretty busy but the improved drive thru has made a big difference! So so so good! Seriously… get a chai"
"Probably the worst lattes in town. It’s an insult to the coffee roaster they use tbh. I guess it’s a good alternative to Starbucks if you want to support a local shop. Last time I was in, they did not have prices listed. Service was slow and there was a child working there. The person taking my order wasn’t friendly and kept singing along to the radio and only told me the total for my order. I do not plan on visiting again."
