What People Are Saying

from Google & Yelp

"I've been coming here for years, not as often as I should. During Covid I would regularly stop in for dinner then walk down the block to Gallant Fox for drinks. The pomme frites in all portions are amazing, amongst the best fries in town if not #1. Beef and iberico empanadas, bocadillo and choripan sandwiches, steak frites, pork tenderloin, sausages alemana, all great. The Margherita pizza is the best you will find in Louisville. Grab some coffee or European beer while here and have a good time. Keep it on the must visit list."

"So disappointing. Haven't been in at least 10 yrs but have always supported as a stalwart of the Clifton neighborhood. There was no heat on in the customer area--I wore my coat the entire time (in retrospect, should've just left). There were two staff members. The barista was inexperienced (at least she disclosed this) and not very friendly. It took an interminably long time to get two coffees (other people that arrived after us were served first). No explanation whatsoever though the other server apologized at least. The barista got our bill wrong and also didn't ask if we had wanted separate or one bill. Too much confusion at the end. I probably won't go back."

"The service was impeccable, the girl who served us was very polite and helpful. We ordered the choripán, which was not what I expected. Also instead of putting French fries they put chips, which didn’t seem to match the menu or price. The pizza was phenomenal, a total delight! The salmon was very tasty, however, it was served with only two pieces of asparagus, and half a cherry tomato! I'll likely come back because there are still many dishes I want to try! But for the price you’d think they would give you more food/balance the entrees with the sides."

"We had a lovely visit at Caffe Classico. A quaint, clean, and inviting atmosphere with lots of natural light. The food was tasty and service was timely. Our experience was elevated by the two hosts, Sameer and Ava, who were attentive, cheerful, and personable."

"I have mixed feelings.. first I love a soda fountain drink.. they don’t have those but they do have Mexican cokes which are almost as good. Our table ordered the fries.. as an appetizer and they were some of the beat I have ever had. They come with 3 dips which my friends enjoyed. I had a delicious panini! There was a group of 5 of us and mostly everyone enjoyed their dish but one friend ordered a soup. She was anxious for me to try it as I was not familiar to that soup.. it looked very good. Well it was cold and it wasn’t supposed to be cold. So she reluctantly asked if the server could heat it up which the server was happy to do. She got it back and it was still cold. So rather than ask again she just took it to go. I would come again. And I believe my friends will too."
