"I discovered Louisville's Good Folks through a coffee subscription service a couple of years ago, and now get my beans either directly from their website or from my local coffee roaster (I'm in Miami) almost exclusively. Good Folks' beans are always uniformly and impeccably roasted, arrive fresh, and make consistently delicious coffee, no matter the origin or blend. Outstanding quality. "This is THE PLACE to get freshly roasted coffee. I purchased the Deep Space dark roast. Within a couple days, it was ready to be picked up. They describe it as "smokey, bold and dark chocolate" and wow are they right. Grinded a little more coarse, and used the Kasuya method in my Hario Switch. The cup was roasty, smokey, and chocolatey with a little bitterness. Best dark roast I've ever had. I can't wait to try the other roasts. It says something about the quality of your roastery when people will wait 2 to 3 days to get a bag. They're doing it right at Good Folks!"

"This is my go-to place for coffee beans. You can't go wrong with any of their blends, but I'd recommend Day Tripper for those new to Good Folks or coffee in general. Day Tripper is beautifully balanced with a lot of "classic" coffee notes like chocolate and caramel. Of course, that's not to mention my favorite thing Good Folks Coffee has: Single origin coffees. In a year where I've been unable to travel it's been a real treat to taste coffees from around the world from the comfort of my home. The Guatemalan single origin from Doña Maria Velasquez's farm is a particular favorite, especially the light roast version. I cannot recommend it enough. I buy a bag every time I'm able to when I'm ordering from Good Folks Coffee because it's just that good. Their local pickup option is fast and convenient too."
