"This was our first time eating here but it won't be our last! It's a small little restaurant. I think there were about 10 tables, my mom and I went for lunch and it was the perfect place to sit and have a quiet lunch. We went because we wanted to try the Reuben but sadly they were out of that on that day. So we decided to split the hot brown and the Benedictine and bacon. I think I should be glad they were out of the Reuben because oh my goodness- both of those other items were oh so good! The hot brown was comfort on a plate, it was warm and delicious. The bacon was fantastic, the turkey was great, the bread was not too soggy. Everything you want a hot brown to be. That Benedictine and bacon sandwich was oh my lawd. I don't know that I have ever had better Benedictine and I've had a lot of Benedictine that I have loved lol. I'm still thinking about that. Benedictine. I've thought about calling them and asking if I can buy the Benedictine by the bowl. The staff were super friendly, another lady came in and sat at a table close to us where the staff were rolling silverware and talking and she told them to bring us a cupcake. I'm not sure who she was if she was a manager or an owner, but she was super funny and very friendly. She gave us some history of the owners. And a delicious cupcake! The only thing that would have made our visit better is if we could have ordered drinks as in an alcoholic drink, but that doesn't have anything to do with the food🙂 it was a fantastic lunch. I definitely recommend trying this cute little Cafe out if you have not."

"I've always loved this cute little café in St. Matthews. My nana and I come often for lunch and we always enjoy the Benny & Bacons. I highly recommend them with the sweet potato fries. Unfortunately, the service has gone downhill. They make you feel like you're an inconvenience. Yesterday I placed a carry-out order, and they made it very clear they weren't happy about it because it was "large." It was four meals. They asked me to pay over the phone and told me to add gratuity before even giving me the total, and I had to ask for it. When I arrived to pick up the food, there was no hello, just "You're here for the large order?" I checked everything in my car and realized they forgot my honey mustard. When I went back in, I was told very rudely, "It's in the bag, did you look?" It wasn't worth arguing, so I just walked out. Also, don't forget to call before you go, because it's a 50/50 shot if they're even open or not. And when I called to check their hours, the woman on the phone was rude as well. For spending over $70 on lunch, I expected better service. Sadly, I won't be returning."

"Q 12/12/25 Purchased 2 Reubens, just ok. Sandwiches were good size for price but a bit too salty. I realize with the sauerkraut and corned beef, this is a salty sandwich, just seemed saltier than last time. My Husband had a Reuben several months prior, did not seem too salty. So I decided to try one this visit as well. Next time, will try Pastrami Sandwich. Had waffle fries a bit too much salt as well. This expierence did not deter, I will return to try other sandwiches (:"

"Cute little spot in the middle of St. Matthews! Outdoor and indoor seating, excellent service and the food is fantastic! And very affordable too. Much cheaper than other spots in the area. I ordered the grilled tuna Swiss and loved it."
