"I was at the Rousses on Drusilla in Baton Rouge looking for a king cake. I found this amazing king cake that I didn't recognize and thought I would share it with my coworkers. OMG!!! "My husband and I visited the O’Reillys and asked them a good place to eat in town and they sent us to Joe’s! We are from Texas and was driving back to Gonzales from taking an airboat tour and we were hungry!! Food was amazing. I had the shrimp and grits, my husband got the JoJo special and we shared the Joe’s swamp fries and we at every bike! The swamp fries we ordered the sauce on the side and the fish had such a good breading on it, and the food was fresh right out of the kitchen!! The sauce was AMAZING they sell it by the package to take it with you!! I plan to go back because we did not try any of the beignets or pastries, they all looked amazing though and will be trying them SOON! It will be worth the drive and the husband and wife that works there at the Metairie location where as sweet as can be! Very helpful, very friendly and made us feel welcomed and right at home! Service was excellent, we were well taken care of! Thank you again for the wonderful meal and experience!"

"When I realized how far a drive it was going to be from my hotel at the airport I didn’t know if it was gonna be worth it as I was tired after a long day of travel and work, but I always try local spots. The service was fantastic, super friendly and great conversation. I was the only one in the dine in, although several people came and bought donuts while I was there. I had red beans and rice along with fish, which was delicious! Had beignets for dessert, which were also delicious. Would definitely go back!"
