from Google"Food, fantastic. Get oysters for sure. We got oysters almost every single day in NOLA and these were probably the best. Atmosphere and music, amazing. Especially the Halloween decorations. The service was alright. We got there before it got too busy and because we were sat in the back area I feel like we were kinda forgot about for a while. It wasn’t horrible but it was not that southern hospitality. Be warned; you can not split checks here. That was definitely a downside. But would go back for the food and music. Also, my mint julep wasn’t muddled which I found a bit strange. Muddled it myself with my straw."
"We explored the Frenchmen street and wanted to visit a bar with live music. We selected Bamboula’s as we liked a lady singing. That was the best part. The band made really good show, pretty loud. The restaurant has some options for Cajun cuisine. We selected meat gumbo and crab cake. Gumbo was nice. Crab cakes were 2 burger-like pieces of something minced and little spicy (I can’t state whether it has a crab or not). We took couple of beers, they serve only bottled ones. I can’t say that was something notorious. I would say ~70$ for 2 dishes + drinks is quite pricey. The restroom was not great. But they had soap and paper."
"Great place to listen to music everyday all day. Reasonably priced drinks and food with no cover. Good staff and great music. Be sure to tip the band!"
"Nice restaurant and jazz club on Frenchman Street. Was nice to sit and enjoy a meal along with alive band. Service was very attentive. Portions were good prices reasonable. The salad was very fresh and flavorful. The jambalaya was good but was overly salty. I don't know whether it was intentionally salty or it was salted to increase the purchase of drinks. But anyway that was the only negative point of this experience. Very nice club just be cautious that the food might be overly salty. Especially for you people with high blood pressure."
"First and foremost Ellie was so welcoming to us folks from NYC. She suggested beers and foods. Great personality! Ellie is definitely an asset to this establishment! The house salad with grilled chicken was AMAZING! The IPA' s were full of flavor! And the live music was all New Orleans! So happy that we stopped in!"
