What People Are Saying
from Google & Yelp"Personally, I prefer Cafe Du Monde’s City Park location more than the French Quarter location. It’s way cleaner. The scenery is also less hectic since you get to see the sights of City Park. The lines can get long, but they go by pretty quick as well as the service. You can never go wrong with their classic beignets! Hot, fresh, and flavorful! We only got their 1 order of 3 beignets ($4.53), and the price is such a bargain for the quality. We also got their large orange juice ($5.43). It’s very standard OJ but no complaints at all. Also, they do not accept Apple Pay or tap. Only Physical Credit Cards or Cash. Overall, a classic NOLA spot you should visit at least once!"
"The beignets lived up to the reputation, so delicious. I personally did not like the chicory coffee, it was just a bit bitter and unusual to my taste pallet but I’m glad I got to try it. I was able to order and get my food right away but soon thereafter a lot of tour groups came in and the place got quite busy."
"Wonderful gem of a spot situated mid way along the circuit of prestigious oak. We visited cafe du monde - city park to escape the heat and refresh ourselves part way along the great oak journey. The cafe is a great little spot, with plentiful indoor and outdoor seating offerings. We got beignets, and having had a few now I can say these were good. On par with Cafe beignet. I’d highly recommend this spot- I’m not sure I saw any other cafes in the park on our visit (needs fact checking). In general beignets are not hugely my cup of tea, but for the type of snack they are I enjoy them above average. I can tell that here they are good. You might notice that “goldfish island” is nearby on the map. Do not bother visiting this location. It is not good."
"First time having the Beignets . Shook the bag as instructed, and covered the Beignets nicely with the powered sugar. Enjoyed the Beignets. They are not expensive at all (3 for $4.53). Could they be cheaper? Yes, but no one's complaining. The Cafe Au Lait was nothing special, but okay to drink with while eating the Beignets. We came here for the Beignets and not the coffee."
"This is an awesome place with excellent ambience, coffee and The french donuts! A must visit for someone who likes these cafes, their true coffee and the donuts. Had a wonderful experience with my family and will surely like to visit again! Ample parking available near the Cafe."
"This experience was pure magic. Jazz music playing first thing in the morning, a peaceful walk through City Park, and then sitting down with hot coffee and..."
