What People Are Saying
from Google"I’ll give this 4.5 stars! Really good espresso — I liked how they carry both a single origin and a blend. I got a cappuccino and they definitely do a dry cappuccino, not the kind most third wave coffee shops serve. It was definitely too foamy for me, but the espresso itself was quite tasty and I could identify each of the tasting notes (I tried the single origin). The interior seating had a nice variety of options and a good mix of people studying and hanging out. It wasn’t hard to find free parking on the street. I enjoyed my visit!"
"A serious coffee shop with a great vibe!! They know their coffee & are proud to serve it. Thrown in they are LOCAL & it’s a slam dunk place to stop and enjoy!"
"5️⃣⭐ By far the best coffee in NOLA. Cherry is a third wave local roaster and coffee shop that values expertly roasted beans, house made syrups, and the art of good coffee making. Excellent food options from breakfast burritos to fresh bakery items. Coffee is well roasted, perfectly extracted, and good ratios. If you're a true coffee lover that loves the art of coffee, this has been needed in NOLA for a long time. Great service. Great ambience (only recommendation is that they play music more suited for the ambiance of the room and not spice girls or Shania Twain). Great for. Really great coffee."
"I love this place! Where to start... My latte was perfect, avocado toast was delicious. Staff are helpful, kind, and happy to be there. A lot of other customer appear to be doing work, which I always find motivating as I'm trying to focus. And very importantly, lighting is gentle (you don't feel like you're in a hospital cafeteria) and still plenty bright thanks to the giant windows. Lovely spot!!"
"Stopped by this eclectic and warm coffee shop on a spur of the moment looking for a great place to get work done and it was a wonderful surprise! Across the street from a park, it is welcoming and has lots of parking. Inside, it really has a native, New Orleanian feel. I love the "Let her have it" tip jar that is a reference to an iconic commercial anyone here in the 80s or before would know of. These little additions in the style give it a sense of place rooted in the neighborhood and the city. The coffee, tea and food were excellent. I had a breakfast sandwich that was absolutely perfect. It was filling and healthy and gave just the right amount of being full. It was freshly made and again, perfect. The service was wonderful and the wifi is strong. It seems to have a good base of regulars. Cozy, it has ample space and the table are arranged so that you can easily maneuver. Outside there is a patio and if you are compassionate of others, you may smoke outside. It is a cute and relaxing respite that kind of takes you out of the the everyday with its whimsy in the decorations and the cute cards they use for your orders. I love the interior decor. I would have sat at the velvety bench but my seat at the computer bar was good. The leather seats are unique and fit the space. I would love to visit again and get a place at the window. I needed a plug but next time I will charge before for optimal choices. I wholeheartedly recommend this coffee shop. The music (not too loud and not too soft) was themed to the late sixties/early seventies (soft rock?) and made me remember so many people I used to know in the city. All in all, I think it is good for work or meetings, sitting with a friend and catching up or being a go-to coffee spot. I am happy I decided to try something new and got a lot done there. It is a friendly environment and again... Easy to park and it is free parking. Definitely visit again and again!"
