"Excellent late night experience at this New Orleans institution. While I was hesitant about stopping in on a whim (even if the previous reviews were good), I was pleasantly surprised by the fast friendly service and the outstandingly delicious fried chicken. Crispy, moist and well seasoned, this was the best fried chicken I have had in a while. Additionally, the side of red beans and rice - with corn hush puppies - were outstanding as well. Highly recommend a visit whenever the chicken craving hits!"

"My food was delicious! Alligator sausage seasoned well. Red beans and rice creole style and the biscuit was so fluffy. Gravy was smooth, the restaurant is small and there is a bar. Get the male server w/ golds; he got me seated fast, my bill came quickly and cleaned my table throughout the process"

"Food was so good we ate here 3 days doing our visit. Tess, Anika, and Helene were awesome servers. Tess was some welcoming and attentive. Anika was spot on with our orders even though it was 4 couples she served. Helene was very attentive making sure I was satisfied with my order. Great experience and I will be back to eat here again. If you are ever in New Orleans Daisy’s Mae is a must try. Food is delicious❤️"

"Down in the Big Easy for a vacation and was looking forward to trying the famous fried chicken of the great American south. Haha, this was some of the worst chicken that I'd had in my entire life!!!! Chicken was tiny and mostly consisted of crisp, and the meat was tough and shriveled. Felt like I was eating a plate of fried bread crumbs with some chicken jerky. The jambalaya and shrimp/grits were fine, nothing to rave about though. The best part of the meal was our server, Nicholas. He is a gent and good waiter. If I had to pick between a good meal with a bad server or a good server with a bad meal, I'd prefer the latter. But I shouldn't be picking either or, should I?"
