What People Are Saying

"Incredible restaurant in the Bywater minutes from the French Quarter but away from the hoards of tourists. Great selection of menu items including seafood, chicken, and beef. Daily specials. Absolutely delicious. You MUST try the praline bacon, to die for. An absolute must to visit every time we're in the Big Easy."

"Elizabeth's is a super casual dining place located off the beaten path, which adds to its cozy, neighborhood feel. The restaurant is famous for its inventive Southern cuisine, but it's important to know what you're getting into. The service was friendly and efficient, but the food was a mixed bag. I ordered two appetizers: the Fried Chicken Livers and the infamous Praline Bacon. The chicken liver was definitely a miss for me; it tasted quite weird, and as someone who typically enjoys liver, I don't recommend ordering it. However, the Praline Bacon, which is what they are famous for, was incredibly interesting! It was a fascinating combination of savory bacon with a sweet, praline-like glaze. A key tip for visiting: Since it's located about ten minutes from the nearest bus stop, it's a bit of a commitment to get to. I think this spot caters heavily to regulars, so I wouldn't recommend it for everyone. If you go, stick to their famous items like the praline bacon."

"This place is clean. Great place to start the day because it prepared me for good day the food was good and I loved the praline bacon. Everyone else loved their food too. Service was friendly, kind, and so upbeat. Definitely a great place to relax. Seriously even the railing did not feel gross and the bathroom was up to date and clean. So good."

"A great comfort southern breakfast. My favorite was the friend boudin eggs special. It’s got A fried pate type situation in the bottom topped with a flavorful crawfish etoufe & poached eggs on top. I think this place is most known for the duck waffle and honestly it was not my thing because it’s pretty sweet. The carne asada hash was really good. They have great crispy potatoes that came with each dish. The praline bacon and biscuits and gravy were decent. Overall super solid breakfast spot would come again"

"Friendly and fast service, delicious food and drink. This place has been around for years and it as good as ever! Fried oysters with poached eggs and hollandaise sauce, the best. Tall drinks come with a traveler, of course."
