What People Are Saying
from Google"Reading some of these reviews not really sure what people are looking for. It's a music venue. They have a bar. They have live music. They have food. Sometimes the music sucks - according to you. Sometimes it's great - according to you. Was walking by, heard some good jamming going on, saw people having fun. Stopped in. Had a drink. Listened to a few songs and was on my way to the next venue that some think sucks. Drink was fine. Bartender was friendly. Would I hang out there all night. Nope. That's the great thing about Frenchmen Street. Choices."
"Honestly, just stay away. This place is a complete joke. The staff are rude, unprofessional, and have no idea how to run a business. They overpromise, undercommunicate, and when things go wrong, they take it out on the customer. Save yourself the frustration and your money — there are plenty of places down the block that actually value and appreciate their customers. Added photos of the incompetence security and so called owner."
"Dive-bar vibes. The surprise we wanted on Frenchman street. Cheap pizza that’s better than you’d expect for $5. Walked 15 min to get it on our last night and it was closed. The jerk chicken was bomb was 10/10."
"Favela Chic In town for the first weekend of the 2025 New Orleans Jazz Festival, and after spending the morning and afternoon at the Festival I walked through Frenchmen Street (a few blocks from the French Market streetcar stop). The bar had just opened (it was around 6 p.m.) and the house band was tuning up when I walked past, as they covered the Allman Brothers’ Band’s You Don’t Love Me. Couldn’t pass that by, so I got an Abita and listened to the band for a few minutes. Awesome atmosphere, excellent sound system, and a very talented band. Bar staff was very cool, as was the selection of bar goods. Open air location, in the heart of Frenchmen Street – excellent vibe. Laissez les bons temps rouler!"
"They have a sign saying they have "live music, food, great beer selection". That sells their food short. It's fantastic. Highly recommend the empanadas. Live music was interactive and great. This place deserves a stop on your way!"
