from Google"We tried Lux Cafe and everything was so good. The catfish and seafood grits were the star…the fish was fried to absolute perfection, crispy on the outside and full of flavor. The grits were soo creamy ( I could have had the all by its self!!) The crawfish omelette was rich, topped with their special sauce, and loaded with crawfish, and the potatoes on the side were seasoned just right. The honey chicken biscuit was ok. The biscuit was tasty, the chicken was perfectly fried, and the honey drizzle pulled it all together. Great food, great portions, and we left happy and full!"
"I had high expectations for this place due to reviews. However, the service and atmosphere didn't really meet the expectations. The line moves slow. The lady who's taking the order also makes orange juice. She also works slowly. The atmosphere is ok but nothing special. The food however was very good. We ordered crawfish omelet and fish & grits. Both were very good."
"Let’s start with the positive. The catfish on the Ultimate Seafood Grits was fantastic. Unfortunately, the rest of the seafood was somehow rubbery, and the grits were cold. The cold mozzarella thrown over the top didn’t melt, which is great if you’re topping a salad. I didn’t mind waiting in line to order. What was frustrating was the 25 minutes it took to get our food. We had to clear our own table. We had to ask for water 3 times. It took 3 minutes to get silverware after our food was served. And in that time, the cheese still hadn’t melted. Again, the catfish was great — perfectly seasoned. Compliments to the chef on that."
"We ordered the breakfast biscuit with sausage, egg, and cheese (not pictured) , shrimp and grits with fried fish, and potatoes. Total was $34.33, plus two orange juice mimosas for $28. Overall, the food was good. We did have to send back the breakfast biscuit because it came on wheat bread, but they fixed it immediately without any issue, so that was appreciated. The mimosas were very good — freshly squeezed orange juice and definitely worth it. The shrimp and grits were decent, I’d rate them a 6.9/10 — just needed a bit more flavor. Would come back to try a few other things! (Breakfast Poboy & chicken and waffles pictured not reviewed)."
"They really take care of you here! Excellent service from all the staff, but especially Ms. Lo and Ms. Adrian. The food was also tasty and they have really good proportions. Will definitely be back next time I come. I got the eggs Benedict for the first time, and it was delicious."
