What People Are Saying
from Google & Yelp"The staff is awesome. As an out-of-towner, were friendly and patient with me, and I saw them show the same grace to everyone. I had the beet lemonade. It was delicious and a good price. Inside there’s a friendly welcoming atmosphere. This is the type of place where you could strike up a conversation with the people at the table next to you."
"As a meat-loving man with a massive appetite (who has been scorned by countless similar sandwich places), I was very concerned walking into this hipster-friendly joint that the portions would be small and very little meat… but I was blown away by the meat-generous and massive portions! Also wonderful service and music!! (Girlfriend also loved the Matcha lemonade)"
"One of my favorite coffee shops in the city! Amazing service and delicious coffee. I love the outdoor area under the trees. Such a peaceful environment. I had the bagel with lox and it was very good. It's also in a great part of town with a lot of cool shops around. Perfect if you want to get your coffee and wander around!"
"We visited Satsuma Café in the Bywater on a friend’s recommendation, and what a hidden gem it is! Tucked away in a quiet corner, this café offers both delicious food and a peaceful, cozy vibe. I have a nut allergy and was relieved to find the staff incredibly accommodating. They took extra care to make sure my meal was prepared safely and without cross-contamination. My son had his eye on the green eggs and ham, but it came with a basil pesto made with pine nuts—so we flagged that early and they were very careful from there on out. I ended up ordering the burrito—the salsa that comes with it ties everything together beautifully! My family also enjoyed a pancake and a croissant egg and cheese sandwich, both of which were big hits. We sat outside in the courtyard, which was quiet and quaint, with birds hopping between the plants and trees. It felt like a little oasis in the city. If you’re looking for a relaxing spot with great food and staff who truly care, Satsuma is a must-visit in New Orleans."
"We had the best experience at this place. Honestly, the breakfast burrito was the best I’ve ever had. The combination of beans with scrambled tofu and a lot of fresh vegetables made it so good. The staff was very friendly, and the place was quiet and welcoming. We loved it!"
"Love Satsuma! 10/10, food is always great, and service is so nice! Beautiful restaurant with good ambiance."
