from Google"A friend of mine comes to New Orleans several times a year and told me I needed to go to The Roosevelt. When I come for Christmas I will definitely be back because I bet it is absolutely stunning! The lobby is beautiful and you can feel the history in this place! I went for a cup of coffee in the cafe and also got a quick pastry/ bite to eat. There were plenty of different types of seating and TV's for leisure. Seating was comfortable as I sat in a cushioned chair/couch. But there are also Cafe tables and plenty of other seating arrangements to accommodate pretty much any group. There were lots of things to choose from at the counter and I'm assuming a lot of their hotel guests grab things to eat and drink here. That's probably the majority of their patrons. But I'm super glad I stopped in! I will be by when I am in town once again!"
"Our server (or cashier) was incredibly sweet and welcoming. She gave us helpful recommendations from the menu, which we really appreciated. They also had seasonal fall drinks, so we ordered a Pumpkin Spice Latte and the Mystic Mocha—both had great flavor, and mine iced was done perfectly. For food, we tried the crab and crawfish omelette, which was amazing. The flavors were rich, the cheese paired beautifully with the seafood and eggs, and it was cooked perfectly. The portion was generous and more than filling, and the potatoes on the side were also delicious. We also ordered the BLT for breakfast, which came with a fried egg inside. It was very tasty overall. The burger itself was fairly average, but the bun was excellent, and since it was recommended by our server, I’m glad we tried it. We also ordered the beignets, which were fantastic. They were light, fluffy, and not too heavy, and the chocolate sauce on the side paired with them perfectly. The portions were great, the atmosphere was nice, and the service truly stood out—it was spectacular."
"While the setting may seem comfortable, the atmosphere is icy… the service leaves something to be desired, no ceramic cup for a tasteless espresso in a cardboard cup, no plate for a croissant that has clearly gone bad with the butter and tastes like cardboard, and of course, a rickety chair. The cherry on the cake: no toilets accessible to guests outside the hotel. In short, do not return."
"We found Teddy’s Cafe is good for a quick meal. Though this is not what we are normally looking for it is very good as lots of people are in a hurry and need a quick bite. They have a good selection of pastries, muffins, coffees and also some cooked dishes. The service is also friendly, efficient and prompt. For a fast food restaurant the seating is surprisingly very ample and quiet comfortable. This is a great place to stop for a quick bite or something light."
"Absolutely horrible. They don’t have a price tag on their bakery items and I thought it will be a “normal price” however it wasn’t. A 3 inch ube cake was $12 and a croissant was $9, with tax it was a freaking $24 lol I couldn’t even take it back cuz even before I pay, they already all reheated and placed them in the box so I can’t say no anymore. If I knew the price, I would have never gotten them. Expert no more than $15 honestly. Almost felt like getting robbed. Taste sucked too."
