What People Are Saying
from Google & Yelp"What a fantastic place. It was quite busy and there was a cover charge of 5 dollars for the band. We didn’t have any food. The band were brilliant. Jazz, double bass and it was one of the highlights of my trip. I highly recommend going here. Drinks were cheaper than Bourbon street. A can of lager was 7/8 dollars. Staff were brilliant. Very quick to serve you. The guy on the front door was so polite and friendly. A brilliant must see place with a fantastic atmosphere."
"The Spotted Cat Music Club is a very small place with a great, authentic vibe and fantastic live music. It's exactly the kind of unpretentious, high-quality venue you want to find on Frenchmen Street. The music is superb, the drinks are good, but the main feature here is the atmosphere. A few crucial tips for visiting: Be prepared to stand: It is very difficult to get a seat or bench inside the club, so assume you will be standing for the duration of your stay. Check the back patio: If you want a more casual spot to chat without the intense crowd, they have outdoor seating in the back where the music is broadcast over speakers. If you are looking for an intimate, high-energy night of authentic jazz, The Spotted Cat is a must-visit."
"We asked several locals where to go for local live music and all mentioned the Spotted Cat. We had a fun evening enjoying Genevieve and the Winding Boys. Fun and excellent musicians. Great location next to the Frenchman’s Art Bazaar."

It’s a small, cozy place packed with talent and soul. The atmosphere is truly special—lively, authentic, and unforgettable. "My Uber driver told me to check this place out and I'm so glad that I did. The music was amazing! I ended up staying longer than I originally thought I would but the show was so amazing and engaging. It's a very small venue so be prepared to be a bit crowded but it's so worth it. They had a lot of options for drinks and despite how busy it was the bartender was still very helpful. One of those spots where you feel like you travel back in time."
