What People Are Saying
from Google"Hampshire Dining Commons is one of UMass Amherst's Student Dining Commons. Like other dining commons, they utilize a rotational menu of foods from across the world. One unique feature of Hampshire is that it doesn't serve any soda, instead opting to be more health conscious by serving fruit drinks and locally sourced milk instead. The serving area is a circular design, with seating on the outside. There isn't that much seating in the building, but enough to get by. Food is pretty good, but many of the options are served at other dining halls as well. They do typically host a few special events here, especially the Princeton Review's food celebration."
"UMass Amherst's dining justifies its #1 ranking for best campus food. The sushi and stir fry are amazing at Hampshire and probably among the best I have had before"
"All you can eat lunch for $17. The selection was impressive! Lots of vegetarian options. I am not a student and came with my husband who is a UMass alumni. We had an amazing lunch! That being said, I saw a lot of food wastage around while there. It's always a difficult balance between choosing tasty food and making sure $17 is worth it. Since it's a university campus, I am hoping they can evaluate how to reduce food wastage while providing good value to students."
"The Cleanliness, the service, the ambiance and the easy way to find and serve your food options is amazing. No wonder UMass Amherst is the Campus with the best food in all USA."
"The food tastes good and there is plenty of it, but it makes me sick every time I eat it, for the whole day, like I have food poisoning. It's because there is canola oil in everything."
