"Loved it, loved it, loved it. And I’m super picky. Everything we ordered was completely delicious. The vibe of the restaurant was so carefully curated and beautiful. Soon to become one of my favorite spots in Boston. Burger was fantastic, as was Caesar salad, crudo appetizer, Mac and cheese, etc. Literally was too full for dessert, but I will be sure to save room next time I am here. Cannot recommend enough."

"I’m truly embarrassed for this establishment. I’ve been before and it was fine, but they have no business accepting group reservations. A group of 10 being served by by someone serving another group the same size. Perhaps they got better service. An hour and five minutes from sitting until drinks were served. 90 minutes until appetizer orders were taken. A few highlights include the cauliflower and Shishito peppers (note one pepper and burnt to death cauliflower) see photo. No one ever asked how food was. Fast forward to entrées and steaks ordered medium came out as rare as those ordered medium rare. And bathrooms are disgusting."

"Loved this place! We were sat in the room that had book pages on the ceiling and it made the room so cozy. I loved that they weren’t playing loud music and the lights were dim. It was the perfect date night spot. The food was delicious!"

"Started our dinner off with some drinks, our server Mike (who was amazing!!) recommended the Beatnik which I absolutely loved. I would come back for just that drink. I had the lobster gnocchi which was a great portion size and was pretty yum ! Overall had a great time, just didn’t love how close together the tables were lol"

"This will be quite a mixed review. We came three times on our last visit to Beacon Hill; the restaurant was literally down the street. The cocktails are exquisite, five stars. The food is very good but quite expensive for what you get, so three stars. Below is a detailed review of our three visits including atmosphere, service, food, and drink. First, the atmosphere. The front room is a lot of fun. And there is a back room as well but it’s a bit more stodgy. We sat near a delightful painting, and we had quite fun naming the serious gentleman. At some point we settled on Fitzimmons (See photos). They’re a couple of bathrooms, but don’t miss out on the flamingo bathroom. You will be glad you “went” (See photos and videos). The service was excellent. Both in terms of our Food server on our first visit and our bartenders on the subsequent visits. No fault in the service. Drinks we again, excellent. I love the fact they have local libations, such as bully boy. I ordered the Mezcal bijou and it was perfectly balanced. On my second visit I ordered the coyote, I love Mezcal, and I did not like the drink as much, but it was fun watching bartender to the Rosemary (see video). On our third visit, we had our son with us, who was celebrating his 21st birthday, more on that later, and the bartender was really delightful. My son ordered a Negroni and it was also well balanced. Food was, again, expensive for what it was. We ordered what we kept calling the “pigs in the blanket“ but what was really the Wagyu franks wrapped in prosciutto and phyllo dough. It was $23. There were five of them. So that was almost 5 bucks per roll/bite, but, they really were exquisite. We ordered that again when we came back for drinks. We were fine paying that price, especially for the wagyu. I had the wild boar Bolognese. It was good, but it was $38. I make Bolognese at home, and I was hoping that the wild boar element was going to elevate it, but it really didn’t seem to make much of a difference and so it felt expensive for what Tasted like a traditional Bolognese. It was tasty. But not $38 worth of tasty. I guess the real disappointment was the scallops that my husband had. At $49, there were only four scallops. So that’s 10 bucks a scallop! We should have asked, often with scallops I like to ask how many you get, but we did not, and so this was a very expensive dish for very little food. $49 for four scallops is beyond the pale. I think that that’s what made us think that this restaurant was overly expensive. Yes it came with the risotto, but still… Our bill at the end of the night was over $300. Yes, we had some drinks, but for one appetizer and two entrée some drinks, and a dessert to-go, a $300 Meal should leave you feeling really happy and fulfilled, and my husband was still hungry afterwards! Which brings me to the dessert. We took it home, and it was good, but very small. I think perhaps it was the type of dessert that would’ve been much better if we had eaten there, because it did have some ice cream associated with it. And even though we were only a five minute walk away, it just felt like a very small portion, Even though the ice cream really didn’t melt. But, let’s end on a good note. The bartender was so much fun when we celebrated my son’s 21st birthday. It was the actual day of his birthday when we came. We sat at the bar and my son tried hard to look so sophisticated and ordered a Negroni, and this was such a wonderful elegant experience for his actual 21st. I know he’s going to go back to college and have a beer with his friends, but we were so happy he could celebrate this big day with us. And, some women at the end of the bar bought us all champagne because they overheard. They were delightful (see photos) and the entire evening was very special in large part due to the festive vibe and great drinks and wonderful bartending. So, this will be a regular stop the next time we come for drinks only, and maybe those pigs in the blankets, but we will Eat elsewhere."
