"I love this cafe! The seating is a little limited, but that’s to be expected in this area. The items are not only delicious but also beautifully presented, and the cappuccinos were excellent. I probably wouldn’t go here regularly because of the seating and location, but it’s definitely a fun spot to treat yourself or grab a special coffee/pastry. The service was good, only one person in front of us, so not much of a wait. Lots of indoor and outdoor patio seating."

Everything was so artistic and eye catching, it was a tough decision but I decided to have the Raspberry Pistachio and it was like a burst of flavors in my mouth. "Jonquils Café & Bakery on Newbury Street is truly spectacular. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere feels cozy, warm, and welcoming, the kind of place that instantly makes you feel at home. Everything they serve is absolutely delicious, from the pastries to the coffee, always fresh, carefully prepared, and beautifully presented. What makes this place extra special to me is the personal connection I have with it. Every time I come here, I am reminded of my very first trip to Boston with my mother as an adult. It was the first time I was able to invite her, to share those little moments together over coffee and something sweet, and that memory will always stay in my heart. Coming back to John Gil’s brings that feeling alive again, which makes it so much more than just a café for me. "Visited this place on Sunday afternoon to try some of their famous desserts. We didn’t have a big selection of desserts to choose from so we picked the pistachio ball and lemon dessert. The desserts look amazing but they are honestly over-rated. They taste good but not something we’ve never had before, and the pieces are too small for how much they cost."
