"Usually I go to the Newbury location of Pavement, which I absolutely love. This location was also very good. I came here with some friends who are gluten free, dairy free, and egg free, and there were plenty of options for them! Usually it’s very hard to find places they can eat, especially breakfast options, but Pavement was absolutely amazing. My friends said these were the best gluten free bagels they have ever had. I am not gluten free, and the bagel I ordered was delicious — rosemary salt, garlic and chive cream cheese, egg, sprouts. I do think some menu items are overpriced ($2.50 for a slice of cheese!?) and I also think they overcharge a bit for allergen-friendly options, but if you’re careful about what you order then it’s reasonably priced. The coffee is also good, but runs a little on the sweet/milky side for me. A note on the ambiance: There is a lot of seating, but the location felt very crowded. It’s cute, but people stay for over two hours even if they only order one coffee. That’s not Pavement’s fault, but it does mean it’s difficult to find seating."

"I was already iffy on Pavement based on menu options and higher prices than other better options, but today sealed the deal on why that flavor value is lacking. I ordered a large matcha and paid extra for ice ($7.50 total), then after waiting 10 minutes I watched them make that matcha by filling it to the BRIM with ice, fill that space between the cubes with milk to within less than an inch of the top, and then mix in maybe 1-2 tablespoons of matcha to top it off… THEN, he had too much ice in the cup to fit in the little matcha he had, so instead of straining out some cubes HE FILLED A NEW CUP WITH ICE AND THEN TOPPED IT OFF WITH THE MIXED DRINK AND THREW OUT THE REST. This is a green glass of milk and ice at this point… and for .75 more than I can get a large banana bread/strawberry/better matcha at Blank Street with 2-3x the matcha. Never again."

"Good bagels sandwiches and coffee, definitely recommend coming to pavement. The classic bacon egg and cheese was nicely prepared and the sausage and pepper jam paired nicely. The lavender lemonade was nicely refreshing and their cold brew is pretty good and acidic. The wait time was a little while for the food, but they do have something to tell you in advance the time 4 stars because it wasnt anything exceptional for the price, but it met my expectations nicely."

"I got the BLT on a rosemary salt bagel with cream cheese instead of aioli. Pretty yummy. The bacon was perfect and the tomatoes were fresh. I’ve never had Boston bagels before and it was okay, very fluffy but still a hard exterior. The rosemary wasn’t overpowering and neither was the salt. I also got a London fog, very comforting."

"Never returning. I was served a latte with ONE MONTH spoiled milk. I noticed something was off when I took a sip and after telling them that the milk tasted spoiled, they checked the expiration date and noticed it was one month old. Unacceptable in the food industry! Check your milk beforehand. EDIT: I got sick from this!!! So disappointed."
