from Google"Arrived without reservations at shortly after 6pm on a Saturday, and were promptly sat. Our server was nice, and checked in often but still gave us space to enjoy our evening. Good atmosphere. Food was overall good, we had the carnitas tacos as a app, carne asada frites, a chicken entree, tres leches and the caramel apple cheesecake special. We unfortunately waited nearly 20min for the tacos, having ordered them before the restaurant was even half full. The entrees came out just over 5min after the tacos feeling a bit rushed. Steak was cooked perfectly and so was the chicken, but chicken was lacking much needed salt. Deserts came out quick after we ordered and were amazing though. We got four different drinks. Presentation was great but only one was a real standout, with the other three being just alright. For $20 each, every drink should be astounding. Unfortunately three of them were lacking balance. Each needed more sugar, and more acid, leaving them to taste like slightly watered down booze."
"The venue is spectacular, warm, classic and inviting, with elegant decor and seating. The cocktails were tasty, but didn’t wow given the price. Would return for the vibes though"
"Audrey did not meet the standards we were expecting from Wink & Nod. We had a larger group and were seated by the bar in front of the 1-way mirror overlooking the establishment. Initially Audrey was fine when she greeted us and placed both the drink and food menus down onto the table. As we were placing our initial drink orders, we asked Audrey to pass along a request to the bartenders - we gave them creative freedom to make any cocktail or specialty drink they enjoyed and/or wanted to make because we were also celebrating a friend's birthday that night and wanted them to have a special drink experience. After some time, she returned with *most* of our drinks from the menu and quickly left to attend and service other tables, which we did not mind. However, 2 of our friends were still waiting for their drinks, which they never received. When we attempted to get Audrey's attention, she focused on every other table except ours. Another waiter came by eventually and dropped off a "Happy Birthday" tres leches dessert. When we finally got Audrey's attention and informed her we hadn't ordered food yet, she simply told us the kitchen had closed for the evening. The drinks we received were great! The tres leches was good too. However, the service from Audrey was absolutely terrible. We're still not sure why she didn't want us to get the full drinking and dining experience at Wink & Nod."
"Wink & Nod is such a cool spot, hidden speakeasy vibes in the South End. We had the burger and the steak, and both were absolutely delicious. Great flavor, cooked perfectly. The vibe is cozy and intimate, perfect for a romantic dinner or just grabbing drinks somewhere unique."
"Ok, Wink and Nod is an overall vibe! Now, the rating I gave is based on service and atmosphere only. Wink and Nod gave chill and grown! just what I needed for a girls' night out. I don't know if they were having a Latin night, but the music was on point. You could have a conversation without yelling, and you didn't hear the next table conversation. Our waitress Emily was great with her drink recommendations. Now for the food, all it needed was flavor, and I would have given it 5 stars across the board. If you need something to eat, it wasn't bad. The burger was cooked perfectly, but the truffles fries were not exactly giving truffles. The steak ordered was cooked medium well, which i was told was a little drying. The yucca fries were delicious. The tres leches cake, which was the only dessert, was 50/50 at the table."
