"Lakon offers uniquely interesting pastries that are both beautiful to look at and taste good. The Basque cheesecake is our favorite item. It's not too sweet or dense and one can really taste the cheese flavor. The plain croissant is very nice. The cinnamon bun has a great cream cheese frosting but the bun itself is quite dry. After trying that twice now, won't get it anymore. Their special holiday snow flake item was small and expensive at almost $12, but it has a hazelnut chocolate mousse center that was quite delicious and I would get that again. Have to be judicious about how much to order here. Everything looks great but am afraid to find out how many calories are in each pastry. The only complaint I have is that service is very slow. There's usually just one person taking orders and payment at the register and then packing up the pastries, even though there are multiple people behind the counter not really doing anything much. When there're a few people in line, the wait can be quite long."

"Drove a few times from RI specifically to this bakery. They are running of many items very quickly. Glad that we can order some items prior and pick up on weekends. A bit on expensive side. The special croissants are great! Love their pastries too, not crazy about their cinnamon buns. Like their savory black squid ink croissant."

I had many people ask me what kind of drink I was having because of how amazing it looks. Definitely a great place to go for afternoon coffee and dessert."
