"A hidden neighborhood gem we discovered while visiting Boston this past weekend. Our hotel was situated in a bit of a no-man’s land that made it difficult to do our usual walking to find good coffee in the AM but I’m glad we persisted. I found the Black Sheep Market after a refusal for settling for DD coffee. This spot was a brisk 10 min walk from our hotel- we got there shortly after doors opened on Sunday and while coffee drew us in we quickly discovered their incredibly solid selection of store made donuts and baked goods. I am going to be dreaming about the Boston Creme donut I left with for some time. Nothing better on the planet when it comes to donuts than that one right there. My husband ordered a cinnamon and sugar donut which he exclaimed melted in his mouth, and for our son who had been studying French- a chocolate croissant- delectable! The coffee - the reason we went at all- was hot, fresh, and delicious. Also warmed our hands on the cold walk back to the hotel for a bonus! The shop itself offered a wide variety of other goods - which we didn’t need that particular morning, but I’d love to have just around the corner if I lived in this Cambridge area neighborhood. Thanks for a great cup of coffee, excellent service and a most memorable donut!"

"It's a small shop compared to the big grocery stores but has a nice selection of staples and treats. I had a chocolate rugelach there that just about melted my brain. The coffee is very good. The ambiance and the friendliness of the staff contribute to how much I like this store. The prices are average for the area for high quality goods. There's no seating."

"Friendly service and a nice selection of gourmet items (though very expensive) but the pastries were mediocre at best. Babka and apple danish were nauseatingly sweet and did not taste at all freshly made. Can’t speak to the bagels, though!"

"Im a delivery driver and last Saturday was my first time going here. First of all as soon as I came in the store I was greeted by the workers and I literally felt like I was walking into a friend or families house the way I was greeted it was such a great interaction. Most the time When I deliver to places they never offer me anything to eat or drink but at black sheep market they insisted I eat or have a coffe. I took them up on there offer and had a French vanilla iced coffe and let me say better than any dunks or Starbucks coffe you could get. The real reason im writing this review is to basically thank them and let everyone else know what kind people they are. Im sure they probably won't remember me if they read this but hope them all the best. we meed"

"Bagels coffee and other quick goods in a convenient neighborhood location. Huge improvement from what was there before. A varied selection of Whole Foods style food staples."

"It's the second time the female presenting staff member made it feel like I am not welcomed there and would hate so assume that it is because I am not..."
