Carolina Gold, spinach and leeks, which was so named because it was Rice but not clear on the menu. my cocktail is excellent, although I would have preferred it on rocks and did not order it straight up. Corn bread is really corn cakes A boulevardier is usually served on rocks. Servers excellent"
"Excellent place with a great vibe. Limited menu and limited choices for vegetarians, but all food quality, taste and presentation is on point. Good service and cosy interiors. They also have a lovely bakery, do try their breads, cookies, fresh jams and muffins."
"Better fare elsewhere. Henrietta's Table resides on the ground floor of the Charles Hotel which advertises itself as a "luxury hotel". Henrietta's is owned by the Charles Hotel (as reported by my bank statement). Arrived here shortly before 4:30 PM on a Saturday. Was told the dining room was unavailable until 5 PM. After some discussion with the hostess, she said we could get a drink at the bar and wait until 5 PM to be seated. My date wanted to wait. So we were relegated to the bar area and were given menus. The menu read that the food listed was served from 2 PM until 5 PM so if I take this to mean that if you arrive anywhere between 2 PM and 5 PM, you get seated in the bar area. I really didn't want a drink but thought a beer would be good. Unfortunately none of the beers appealed to me so I settled for a gin and tonic. After 5, we walked over to the hostess with our drinks and then she seated us. Note she did not come over to us to seat us even though they weren't busy. This was a bit odd. We were seated at an excellent location however. The service was excellent both at the bar and in the restaurant. Everyone was very pleasant. Our food runner was especially friendly and I hope that the waiters share some of their tips with the runners; they certainly were working hard. The food was good. I had the Maine rock crab and corn chowder; it came in a warmed cast iron bowl. I had the fish of the day which was swordfish. It was okay but it was a bit mushy and the amount was no more than about 8 oz. Not sure how they prepared it. This came on a bed of barely cooked spindly broccoli, with some potatoes, beets, and "micro greens" which the waiter couldn't articulate further what that was. "sprouts" was all he could say. The weak link of the dish was the potatoes; they had been prepared well in advance. The dish it was served on was again warm - good. So far, the meal was good and the service great. Now, things would take a down turn. We ordered something called "fall dessert sampler" which included the following: "house made apple cider donut, pumpkin whoopie pie, cranberry crumb cake with vanilla bean ice cream". We wanted to share. The doughnut was about 2 inches in diameter, the whoopie pie about the same size, the crumb cake was less than the size of a mini cupcake and the ice cream appeared to be scooped out with a melon baller. This was the most expensive dessert on their menu: $18. Those are raspberries in the photo, not strawberries (to give you a perspective as to size). I walked away hungry. As soon as I got home, I got something to eat. Overall, the prices were expensive for the size of the entrees and desserts. Much better can be had in Boston and you'll walk away satisfied."
"What a cutesy, classy hotel breakfast restaurant should be. Friendly, super-clean, great service. Very cozy view of the courtyard space and the unique menu items (corned beef with beets = "Red Flannel Hash") make this a unique and worthwhile place to enjoy. Grateful to come here."
"Delicious food and drinks in a warm and open atmosphere. We went for dinner in early spring and the menu reflected some of the new fresh ingredients and flavors of spring. Service is a bit slower paced to give you time and when it's busy it can take a little while to come back, but the food and drinks came out pretty quickly after being ordered and prepared. Everything tasted excellent and fresh and our biggest complaint is that the dishes were on the smaller portion side. Of course that left us with room for dessert which was also excellent. Prices are common for the area though maybe a bit high considering the smaller dish size. Overall we enjoyed our dinner and evening and would visit again. An excellent place for a date night or dinner with friends."
