"I’ve been coming to Toscanini’s for years, and I’ve always been head over heels for their B3 cake. I was throwing a birthday party for my severely disabled mom this past weekend and since she’s mostly on a liquid/pudding-thick diet, I really wanted her to try this cake since at least the ice cream part is something she could eat. She’s always been a huge ice cream lover — it runs in the family. I had been trying to get into Cambridge all week to pick up the cake and life just kept happening — my mom was really unwell, and I simply was not able to do the 1-1.5 hour drive just to pickup cake. I was heartbroken, honestly, because in a world where so little is in our control, I really thought that I could AT LEAST pull off bringing the best ice cream cake ever to her birthday. This might sound dramatic, but it’s been a crap time with a really sick mom and I just wanted her to have a special cake. ANYWAY, fast forward to this past Saturday and ANGIE was an absolute lifesaver. She went above and beyond, like WAY above and beyond, all the way to infinity, to help me figure out a way to acquire the cake (two cakes, actually), in time for my mom’s party the next day. I door dashed a cooler, called a courier, she helped coordinate between the two, and all around she just saved the day. Someone please give her a promotion, a raise, and a giant hug. "So far, the best ice cream in Boston. Toscanini has quite the reputation in Boston, so I figured I needed to try it. The shop is located near Cambridge, right across the river. First off, hats off to the staff. Super nice, allowed me to try several flavours before deciding. I first tried the kulfi with cardamom, pistachios and almonds. Absolutely amazing, bold flavours and fantastic creamy texture. I then tried the salted caramel. This is when I knew this place was no joke. Usually ice cream either don’t put enough salt, or put too much sugar. Toscanini had the perfect balance. It was amazing. Finally I tried their most famous flavour: 3B, which stands for Brown Butter, Brown Sugar and Brownie. This was a show stopper. The brownie piece were delicious. The brown butter brought a certain nuttiness which paired perfectly with the caramelized brown sugar. Best ice cream I’ve had in a long long time. I ended up taking the 3B and the salted caramel, but the kulfi honestly was just as good. This is a phenomenal ice cream parlour, definitely worth a detour if you’re in Boston."

"I had a really good experience here. I have a nut allergy and the team asked questions to determine how to best serve me IF they could which they didn’t have to do. We worked through taste testing a few flavors and after I selected 1 specific flavor they opened a brand new batch for me and made sure the spoon was clean. B3 flavor was sooo good! And the goat cheese brownie was very unique and special. Thank you team!"

"Very nice flavors with a smooth creamy texture! The B3 was a standout, with the brown sugar flavor being a super unique part. The burnt caramel was nice but very burnt forward, not as much caramel, kinda got sick of it after a few bites. The ice cream also melts extremely quickly so be ready to eat fast! Overall a solid spot for unique flavors, would get again!"
