"I recantly picked up their French Roast as a gift from a coworker. I am very picky on my french roasts. This is no doubt the most balanced and smoothest french roast ive had. Very easy to extract and quite forgiving as an espresso. The beans were roasted to a proper darkness comparable to some of my favorite italian roasts but not as dark as other french roasts. Low acidity, robust flavor profile and managed to get some notes of bourbon. Highly reccomend."

"I have been buying Hogan Brothers coffee for the past 8 years. I have tried many of their varieties, all are excellent! At this point, I drink two cups of double espresso daily, pulled through a semi-automatic machine. The crema is 1/2-5/8 inches tall. The taste is smooth, rich, without a bitter after taste. I have tried over a dozen other micro-roasted brands, none of which come close to Espresso Continental by Hogan Brothers. Jay Hogan must perform magic! No other explanation. "I found Hogan Brothers coffee of all places, In Maine, at a wonderful cafe in Linconville Maine. I was there for a week in August and really loved the coffee, (Ultimate Buzz) thinking it was just a local company. When I inquired, I was told it was a Framingham MA coffee roaster and being from MA and my partner from Framingham, we stopped by and spoke with Blair, (one of the great roasters) and although there was NO retail operation, he gave me 2 pounds of the Ultimate Buzz. I enjoyed that coffee and using the Online site ordered the Kenya AA and Ultimate buzz. The coffee can be sent whole bean or the roast of your choice, mine the Espresso grind. The coffee is wonderful and the packaging perfect, assuring freshness and quick shipping. I was a little skeptical because they don't have many reviews but, they are worth trying! I ordered the Yirgacheffe online which was delivered quickly & was freshly roasted. Nice cup of coffee. Very happy with them. I'm hoping to make them my new "go to" ."
