"My family always came to Sol Azteca in Boston and in Newton when I was growing up. When I had children, I brought them here as well. Even after 40 years, I still come here with my grown children when they are in town. The service has always been friendly and professional, the menu has continued to offer a variety across meat, fish, poultry, and includes vegetarian options. The beverages continue to be favorites including the best sangria in the area and specialty cocktails. Dining here for casual or special occasions is a tradition for our family, and we highly recommend Sol Azteca which remains family-run and has survived the test of time. "The Newton location of Cafe Sol Azteca is charming, from the outdoor patio, to the tastefully decorated interior. The food is great! The salsa is incredible. My go to meal is the chile relleno (primarily with their tomato sauce). I think there can be two different green sauces, one I love, and one, not so much (I think one comes with a full order, and one if you get half green half red, if that makes sense). Others I dine with also often express how much they love their meals there."
