"Nice little American rustic restaurant tucked in the back streets of Newton Center. Small menus, always a plus. Popovers were a must have. Warm and airy, inside slightly custardy, paired perfectly with butter and jam (of course it has to be Strawberry). Autumn salad was great, perfectly refreshing. Sweet figs and creamy goat cheese added new layers of depth and complexity. Pork chop was a my favorite in the Main course selection. Pork was tender and cooked to perfection, and well seasoned. Halibut was also very good, delicious earthy spices crusted, with sweet and delicious lentils and beets puree. My only small issue was the mash which came with the pork chop was good, but very bland and flavorless, not quite sure what it was. Libby, our waitress, was nice, warm, and sweet. She was amazing, and so fun to chat with. Excellent service."

"We had the most delish dinner with incredible service last month at Farmstead Table. We sat in the bar area at one of the bistro tables and the bartender went above and beyond for us. You can’t skip the popovers & mussels for starters. I enjoyed the steak frites and my husband loved his fish dish. We can’t wait to come back!"

"We had an incredible experience. The service was exceptional — shoutout to the waiter with the fun light-blue apron! He knows his stuff and all of his recommendations were spectacular. We had the striped bass, which was delicate and had nice depth in taste; the popovers were fresh, crispy, and light; and our strawberry shortcake had the right balance of sweetness from the cake, a light hint of mint, and the fruity/tartness of the berries. It was a beautiful dinner. The restaurant pays attention to the details of every dish and it shows! My mother came to visit and celebrate me/my partner’s one year in Boston… Farmstead was the highlight of our night."
