from Google & Yelp"On our first visit to Jake's Cafe we had breakfast. We enjoyed the friendly, timely service and the interesting breakfast menu, although the indoor venue is dark (more like a cosy pub) and I prefer brighter surroundings in the morning (also for easy reading of a menu). In the future, Jake's would be an evening go-to option. But ... for breakfast we enjoyed the Huevos Rancheros and the Eggs in Purgatory (my plate). I must say all was scrumptious, but unless you have a ginormous appetite at breakfast time, the Purgatory offering will overwhelm your capacity to sustain an appetite to the end. As always, we appreciate good coffee, which was kindly replenished at times!"
"My fault kids and I absolutely loved this place! We highly recommend it! I had Over easy eggs, rye toast and pots. My kids had Spinach, tomatoes, onions, egg and avocado and Toasted sourdough, lox, guac, radishes and pickled onions with lime cream. Their coffees were yummy as well. Especially the pistachio Lattes!"
"Jake’s is always solid. Portions and quality are always great and love the rotating hash of the moment. It’s definitely not going to be your typical greasy spoon diner experience, and you have to go into it knowing you’re gonna spend a lot of money on breakfast. But it’s absolutely worth it. Treat yourself to the house made jam and a fun flavored latte and you won’t be disappointed. Also, as with most popular restaurants, expect a wait on the weekend. Bring a book idk."
"I stopped by Jake’s this morning and left feeling full in the best kind of way—not just from the food, but from the whole experience. There’s an easy, welcoming vibe here that just puts you at ease the second you walk in. I had the house-made blueberry pancake to start, and it was just what I hoped for—fluffy, not too sweet, and full of juicy berries. Comfort food done right. Then came the Coolidge: roasted tomatoes, kale, garlic, and goat cheese all coming together in this cozy, savory mix that somehow tasted both light and satisfying. The house potatoes were amazing , and honestly, I could’ve eaten a whole plate of just those. The staff were kind without being over-the-top, and even though the place was buzzing, it never felt rushed. Just a calm, steady energy that matched the food perfectly. Jake’s feels like the kind of spot you come back to—not because it’s trendy or flashy, but because it feels good to be there. And sometimes, that’s exactly what you need."
"Stayed across the street and hit this place up for breakfast. Started with dbl espresso, but found it to be in the weaker side, compared to our own at home. I had the 2 eggs, toast & daily hash. Today's hash was Italian sausage, peppers & onions.... Very tasty. My wife had the James breakfast - 2 eggs, home fries & toast. We both had the sourdough, which was great! Found the place lit like a bar (dark), which I thought it could be brighter for morning(s). Would repeat, but i may get my espresso elsewhere. Kind of disappointing because they had a pro setup for an espresso machine."
