What People Are Saying
from Google"Every time I visit Salem, I always stop by Caramel. Their staff is always amazing. Their pastries are delicious! I always leave with a box of macarons to take a little bit of Caramel home with me. 10/10 would highly recommend!!"
"Caramel French Patisserie was a nice treat and pick me up after touring Salem. We decided to try a trio including the classic eclair: creamy filling in a light yet sturdy dough topped with a dark chocolate that balanced nicely with the sweetness of the cream; madame pistache: light and airy, tiramisu texture with raspberry and pistachio layers topped with fresh whipped cream; key lime pie: short bread type crust with a light and tangy filling topped with fresh whipped cream. All were delicious and pleasantly surprised with the quality of key lime being so far north."
"This was by far my favorite place. During my visit to Salem on the weekend before Halloween. Every day that I went I would get the flan, the vanilla eclair is delicious as well. My wife got the pistachio cake. It was good also. This is a must stop but you have to go early because they sell out"
"Macarons are hit or miss.. pumpkin ones were perfect. Light smooth texture on the cake bits, and nice flavorful creamy center. Also tried the raspberry and birthday cake which were just .. ok... Tiramisu was a good mid grade. May hit up another bakery in the area next time."
"My wife loves macarons, so after spotting this place we walked across Salem to try it and sit down for a bit. When we arrived, neither employee — including what seemed to be the owner — greeted us. We got our macarons and another dessert, but they were out of baguettes, even though it was only around noon. As we sat, we noticed signs saying “this table closed” or “for paying customers only,” which felt unwelcoming. Later that evening, every table had a sign. If you don’t want to be in the customer service business, don’t open a bakery."
