from Google"Decent fried chicken option in Union Square. I was excited when I heard that the owners behind Reliable Market (in Union Sq) were opening a Korean fried chicken spot. With so many bb.q Chicken locations around the city and having yet to find a place that does Korean fried chicken better, I had high hopes for this spot. Here, they stuck to the classics (original, soy garlic, and yangnyeom), but overall, it was just decent. The issue wasn’t the bird, but the bath they gave it. The original crispy fried wings were good, but the sauces they used for the other two were overly aggressive. Both had the level of sweet & salty that bordered on a sugar rush. It was actually hard to distinguish the Soy Garlic from the Spicy Yangnyeom because the sugar just bulldozed every other flavor profile. They probably should’ve just rebranded the Soy Garlic as Sweet Soy. One thing I did appreciate was that they offered a half & half option even for the 10-piece wings, and every order I’ve gotten came with an extra piece. If I come back, I’d probably stick to the plain crispy chicken and skip the sauces."
"Highly recommend K-Bok! We tried the Spicy Yangnyeom Boneless Wings with a side of white rice and kimchi and the Soy Garlic Bliss Fried Chicken Sandwich! Both were so flavorful, crispy, and delicious! Highly recommend mixing the white rice, kimchi, and chicken! Also the bar serves great cocktails at reasonable prices (pictured here is Lychee Martini and Mai Tai). Excited to see the menu expand and try this place for coffee and breakfast :-)"
"Best Korean fried chicken around!! The family and staff that work here are so loving, caring, and attentive. If you know New Reliable Market you know their kimchi is the best! Same family, same amazing food served here. The spicy rice cakes were my favorite and of course the kimchi!!"
"Loved that they had a veggie option! My fried oyster mushroom sandwich tasted great and the sauce I requested was packed with flavor! 🔥 Bartender was helpful and got drinks and napkins to the table despite being crowded. Great addition to the USQ neighborhood!"
"Came here two days in a row, food was so good forgot to take pictures the first time. Only got pictures of the left over chicken the second time. It was really that good. The sandwichs are incredible. Everything was so fresh definitely recommend. Will be back many more times."
