"I had the pandan coconut cake with salted egg on top. It tastes good and reminds me of another vietnamese dessert. The egg seems more like just a fancy decoration imo, it didn't make any difference to the cake. I'd just get the regular cake next time. The mango matcha is pretty good and the vietnamese coffee is just okay. I like that they mix both natural and artificial flavoring for a nice balance - for both the drinks and the cake."

"What a wonderful addition to Union square!! There are so many drink and quick bite options. The cakes look incredible and the one I ordered, Opera, was insanely good. "Maprang is a small cafe and bakery serving up multiple Asian pastries, drinks, and desserts in a small area. The atmosphere is very bright and its nice to browse around in. The staff were friendly, we got our pastries and drinks in under 5 minutes, and we were able to go in and out quite quickly. We got a thai tea cake, biscoff cake, and a mango matcha. The Mango matcha was a bit light on the matcha flavor, and very sweet, a bit too sweet for our liking. The Thai Tea cake wasn't as good either, though it did have a good thai tea flavor. In contrast, the Biscoff Cake was very good, not too sweet and paired well together with the biscoff added on top."
