What People Are Saying

from Google

"The food is really good. It's a tad expensive but the ingredients are top quality, and the flavor combinations are creative and rotate with the seasons. There is a no dine-in policy. The proprietor seems to be an exacting person that takes pride in their menu. I get that it can rub people the wrong way but personally I respect it. It's nice to see people these days with the guts to carry out and enforce their vision for a restaurant even if some customers aren't wild about it. One tiny piece of constructive feedback would be that I feel the focaccia is a tad too thick. As a result, I sometimes prefer getting the "toast" style breakfast items where there is only one slice of bread, because I think the ratios of ingredients are better. That's it, other than that perfect."

"We love this place! The baked goods are our favorites, especially the personal sized cakes and loaded biscuits with seasonal fruit. Everything is made in small batches, always fresh and delightful. The thoughtful menu changes almost daily and I love that I can just pick something delicious without having to build my own. It’s always perfect as is! 🌞"

"The best breakfast sandwich in Boston area hands down. You can tell all the food here is high quality and made with care, the one downside is theres no seating in the space so you have to take your food to go which means you have to wait longer to eat it."

"Absolutely obsessed with these sandwiches! The bread is out of this world, always fresh and made from scratch. Every ingredient is local and and chosen with great care. Definitely check this place out for lunch next time you’re in Davis!"

"Most sandwich places treat egg sandwiches as an afterthought--after all, what's simpler than an egg & cheese? At Shirley's, they've elevated it to the next level. A baked egg with a yolk that is still moist without running down your hand; a tasteful amount of cheese and aioli that adds to the savory and creamy flavor without overwhelming the other ingredients; high quality, rich focaccia that stands on its own, but serves as a great bun; and lastly, the pickles! I love pickles in egg sandwiches so I was pleasantly surprised to see pickled radish slices listed in the ingredients. And it ties everything together so well. I'd order a jar of these on their own. Sweet with a little bit of that vinegar kick without being too overstated. I also got the cold brew, which was in my opinion perfectly made, and the tahini chocolate cookie, which was crispy and rich."
