"I called to inquire about a sandwich and cookie platter for our company’s holiday open house, and Christine was incredibly kind and helpful. She walked me through all of the options and helped me determine exactly how much food to order. They emailed the receipt promptly and stayed in touch via text throughout the process, which made everything so easy and gave me such a sense of relief because I knew it was all being taken care of. We ordered three party subs which are cut into mini subs—a mix of Italian, ham & cheese, and turkey & cheese—each with lettuce, tomato, and some with mayo. The subs served upwards of 36 guests, along with a 2 lb. cookie platter. They were even kind enough to deliver everything to our office, which was a huge help since I was overseeing the entire event setup and didn't have to step away. I texted them first thing in the morning when I arrived on the day of the event, and they responded within minutes. All of the food was gone by the end of the day! Everything was delicious, the bread was incredibly fresh, and I especially loved their sugar cookies. I couldn’t speak more highly of their food, their kindness, and their customer service. I'll try to remember to take photos tomorrow so that I could add them for everyone to see. My brother and I will also be placing an order with them for my niece’s birthday cake, so my appreciation goes beyond just this event. I’m truly grateful to have found Giovanni’s, they’re the best."

"Added menu photos 8-30-2025 I grew up in the 60s in an Italian household and neighborhood and have much experience with Italian foods. Giovanni's has a good assortment of sweets. The service from C. was very good. I and my roommate went on Saturday about 11:30 and there were no other patrons there. Lots of expensive, good looking pastry and cookies to choose from. If you ask for a sample, you'll be looked at like you're from another planet but I was begrudgingly given two pieces of broken cookies to try. I did offer to pay for a cookie to taste after getting that look. The taralli were inconsistent in freshness. The wine variety were too sweet and too soft for this type of cookie which when properly cooked is more like a breadstick and is often dipped in a beverage such as wine. When I asked why they were not crisp like the fennel variety, C. told me maybe they're older or whatever. Another problem that I encountered was the Italian bread I ordered was purposely baked with a soft crust so they can "make sandwiches with it". That doesn't fly with me. My family and the local delis made sandwiches with bread that had a hearty crisp and chewy crust. The worst part is that C. bagged my still warm bread in a PLASTIC bag with a twist tie with no breathing holes in it. NEVER do this as it traps moisture and ruins the crust. Even supermarkets know that. I commented on it and was offered a paper bag which was a nice gesture. The pizza I bought is in a plastic bag and has visible drops of moisture condensation in the bag. The biscotti were also inconsistent in texture. The anise were crispy but the almond were too soft and so not a proper biscotti. Biscotti is another cookie traditionally made hard and crunchy because it is generally dipped into a beverage when eaten. The prices are high, Period. From the menu I got today, 8-30-2025. Here are some examples: 10" round cake $55., Full sheet plain pizza $39. (no, that's not a typo), Pizzelles (waffle cookies traditionally anise flavored): $28./lb. Rum cake 10" $75., Carrot cake 8" $48.99, Apple pie $19.99, Strawberry cream pie $24., Macaroon single cookie: $3.75, Tiramisu 8" $49. My roommate and I tried the Chocolate Mouse Bomb and it was underwhelming. The cake part tasted like box cake mix, the mouse was like pudding and the frosting had virtually no taste of chocolate in it. Mostly tasted like sugar. An attractive, but overpriced pretentious confection that I would not buy again. Tried the 9" counter-top room temperature pizza this evening after heating it. Tasted overwhelmingly like Parmesan and Romano cheeses with a little mozzarella. The crust was good. The tomato sauce added nothing to the flavor. Would not buy again. The sandwiches were far more reasonable. Meatball sandwich with 3 meatballs, provolone on a bulkie, small is $10.99, Lg. $12.99. Salads are pricey: Garden salad $11.99, Chicken Caesar $16.99. The bread was nice and dense and fresh but not much flavor and the crust was flaky on the bottom which was weird and non-traditional. I've had better from a supermarket if you can find Sesame Semolina. It is much closer to authentic Italian bread. I cannot speak to the entire menu and I won't be going back soon. But not a bad place if you have deep pockets. Judging from the reviews here, this establishment is overrated. There are no chairs or tables to sit down and eat. It was clean and neat in the store."

"The cannoli is a must try! I live on the west coast, but I went to college in Worcester. Somehow I stumbled across Giovanni's, and tried their cannoli. As someone who loves both food and making lists, I'm being very literal when I say it's the best food of any kind that I've eaten in 41 years on this earth. The texture, flavor, and creaminess of the filling is perfection. The owner was very generous in making me 2 pound containers of just the filling, which I would eat with a spoon. I was up to one container a day at one point. I'm happy on the west coast, but it pains me that my favorite food is so far away. I'd happily pay a thousand dollars for the recipe if they'd sell it to me. Can't recommend Giovanni's highly enough!"

"We refuse to go anywhere else for desserts - this place is the best!! They also just made a cake for my baby shower and it was amazing. The ingredients are such high quality and very fairly priced. Highly recommend :)"

"The most amazing and cute little shop that has delicious itialian handmade sweets of so many variations! A labor of love is very clear as everything is so adorable and painstakingly detailed. I highly recommend the raspberry Bismark 😋 light and flaky, fresh dollars of raspberry in every bite and coated in white powdered sugar. The lemon cookies are super tasty, i recommend grabbing at least a handful as they go quick every day. As well as the Anisette cookies are a fan favorite, slight heavy tasting from the star anise but still amazing!"
