What People Are Saying
from Google"Ok, wow not what I expected. My taste buds had an experience out of this world! I have been fortunate enough to travel to many places from Aruba, Curacao, Barbados, Hawaii, Mexico etc. I love New York and Boston and worked at Sea Port but nothing, and I mean nothing has compared to the drinks I was served at Steel & Wire. I want them to blow up but at the same time I am feeling sad to give up a hidden gem."
"Looked on Google for a bar close to the theater we had tickets to see a show and this place looked perfect. Bartender was friendly but tended to the "regulars" it seems because he was tied up talking to them and serving them. It still was what we were looking for and I can't blame him for being busy. Interesting mixed drinks that we both enjoyed."
"Steel and wire has taken the place of Nicks. The moment we entered, it felt like you are in one of those old school bars with a great nostalgic feeling. This is what you call an old bar with a new feel. They have a great selection of beers. They also have wines, a few cocktails and some small bites on their menu. We ordered the Rite of spring which was a great refresher for the summer. We also asked the bartender to make one of his vodka specials which again was bang on. We also got the cheese plate which looked and tasted delicious. We are here on an opening night and people just keep pouring in. I guess they all have been waiting for this gem to open up. They don't have too many cocktails to offer yet but I guess they want the initial reactions before they add more in. They also have love performances in separate area and an outdoor patio which is perfect for the summer. I wish they had the QR codes on every table. But again, its their first day. Overall, this place needs to be on top of your list."
"I’ve come here several times and am always impressed by the well balanced cocktails. At the time of posting this they have their 2024 Winter Cocktail Menu and I ordered the Aunt Bethany; a bit sweet but a perfect combination of flavors making akin to an alcoholic cream soda. Would certainly order again. Between well crafted cocktail, an excellent ambiance, curated and quite nostalgic media playing on the televisions, Steel and Wire is a must try for the cocktail scene here in Worcester."
"It’s a pretty laid-back, industrial-style bar that delivers a unique experience with its edgy ambiance and quality drinks. The decor gives a nod to its name, with exposed metal, minimalistic accents, and a vibe that feels straight out of a modern steelworks. It’s a great spot if you’re looking for a drink and a change from the usual scene. Their drink selection is solid, featuring a mix of classic cocktails and local craft beers. The bartenders have their own cocktail introduced in the menu, so don’t hesitate to ask for a recommendation or a custom mix if you’re in the mood to try something new. The food menu is limited so I wasn’t really interested in trying that. They have a few games on the other side as well as an out patio that you can smoke and bring your drink outside. It’s definitely more of an older crowd especially coming after work, kind of vibe"
