What People Are Saying
from Google & Yelp"What a great hole in the wall! It's a shoe-box shoe-horned in next to Ram's Head Tavern on Main St. But the coffee outdoes all the coporate rivals around town, no doubt because of the bright-eyed barrista-owner, Claudia. You taste her ownership in her brewing. In fact, you feel her personal investment in her whole cafe. It feels like you've been invited into her breakfast nook; and the sandwiches look like she got them ready for you this morning; and the delicious pastries from Hawthorne Fine Breakfast Pastry in Severna Park show her own good taste. They taste European, and Claudia looks European, but she in fact hails from Brazil, which makes sense not only of her accent, but also of her skill at making a cup of coffee. Turns out that's South American know-how. Cafe Ole seems mostly like a local spot for regulars on foot, en route to work or on a lunch break, because parking downtown is all the more miserable since Townhall outsourced parking to a third-party profiteer. But if you find yourself on foot downtown, I encourage you to hoof it over to Cafe Ole. Keep an eye out, or you're liable to miss it. It has one table inside and one outside, so you may not find a seat. Think coffee bar, rather than cafe, and find a bench in the sun on Main St. on which to watch the world walk by as you savor your delicious coffee 'n pastry."
"Fantastic espresso with great conversation and company. Muito otimo."
"Serves great coffee and a selection of muffins, pound cake, and even some sandwiches. Staff was super friendly and welcoming."
"Google map search for coffee roaster showed Cafe Ole, so stopped in. They are not a roaster, they use Seattle's Best for their drip brew, a very mediocre product. Lady was nice, place was tiny but charming, all that was missing was a quality coffee."
"I work on West St. and this is my go-to coffee shop! Claudia is so kind and welcoming and saying good morning to her always starts my day on a high note. Love the changing variety of coffee flavors, too, of course! And those everything bagels are to die for. This is the kind of dynamic, full-of-character small business that makes Annapolis so cool."
"I stopped by Cafe Ole for a coffee break when I was in Annapolis for work a week or two ago. I ordered a cappuccino, which was good. It is a very cute shop,..."
