Also, DoorDash doesn’t give many customization options and there’s no space to leave comments/special requests. I had to choose between “no tomatoes” (I’m allergic) or adding mayo for 50 cents 😭😭😭 so I had to go with no mayo lol."
"I really wanted to like Cafe 1908 because the concept is creative and the menu has a lot of variety. Unfortunately, I’ve had two bad DoorDash experiences. The first time, my cheesesteak wrap was clearly mixed with fish and beef. The taste and smell were so off that I couldn’t eat it. I assumed it was a one-time mistake and decided to give them another chance because of the positive reviews. The second order was just as disappointing. I received a shrimp wrap, and the shrimp tasted like old grease and was so hard and rubbery I couldn’t chew it. I threw it away immediately. The food is too expensive for this level of quality and inconsistency. With prices the way they are, spending on takeout is a splurge, so it’s disappointing to receive food that seems old or incorrectly prepared. I hope they improve their quality control because the concept has a lot of potential."
"The 1st time i tried the chopped fish wrap - it was -10/10. This time it was dry but well seasoned 6/10 . Fries are great 10/10. When i walked in , i was hoping for a greeting . Eye contact but no greeting smh . The person whom asked to help me gave me a half welcome . I would patronize them again but no tips or expectations of customer service ."
"Just left this establishment at 7:25pm on 8/25/25, I ordered and ate the Chop Fish Wrap with French fries and a banana pudding. Wrap was off the chain!!!! Nice and seasoned well and the sandwich wasn't too runny. The only extremely difficult thing about this place is the cashier, extremely terrible service!! This guy is tall, dark skinned, and wears glasses. I cannot stress this part enough, this guy is the worst representative of any kind of public facing business or service!! Extremely rude, dismissive, obvious attitude and poor customer service. I asked a question or two about items in the menu because there's no ingredients or toppings listed for each item and he damn near broke his neck providing me an answer! The place wasn't busy but people were coming in and picking up orders every now and again. I'd like to support this business again but I want to never have another interaction with this sassy, attitude, person. There was another customer who came in while I was waiting and this same person I'm discussing had a bad attitude and interaction with her about ketchup packets, she asked if he was the owner and if there was a problem. The guy cooking and preparing the food was great, he was singing, and seemed to be in a great mood, unfortunately he wasn't the person taking the orders. Check this place out, if you can, order online for pick-up only. Insat in and ate and now I smell like a fish fry! Haha"
"This is honestly one of my go to’s and I honestly HATE seeing the irritating and nagging reviews. Let’s start with I understand customer service, but customers also must understand everyone doesn’t walk around with an exuding smile and greet jolly. Also, second, EVERYTHING is literally high currently, their prices haven’t changed since inflations has gotten worse so at least thank them for that. THIRD, their portions match their price. The food isn’t bigger in the picture, it’s simply a close up. You’re not supposed to “overeat”, you’re supposed to be “satisfied”. If you want a buffet, go to Golden Corral, otherwise- let your back breathe. Cafe1908, the few times you may have gotten it wrong with others, hopefully you made it right but for me, you’re amazing. Keep up the good work!"
