What People Are Saying
from Google"Ekiben completely blew me away. I’d heard plenty of good things about them, but my visit today went above and beyond anything I expected. The food was incredible! Honestly, it’s some of the best I’ve had since living in New York City. The fried chicken was so crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, full of rich, bold flavor. The sides and sauces were just as amazing, with that creative Asian fusion twist that makes every bite exciting. What really stood out, though, was the kindness and customer service. Everyone there was genuinely warm and welcoming, and you could tell they really care about the people they serve. I walked in expecting something simple, but I left feeling truly appreciated and grateful. It’s rare to find a place that combines this level of food and heart. Ekiben isn’t just a great local spot, they’re the kind of restaurant that reminds you why community matters. 🩷"
"It takes a lot for me to try a new place that I know nothing about and this place my husband found while we drove North on 95 from DC really proves him right. Do not hesitate to make the stop. Fried Chicken Bao Bun, Ramen Broccoli, Crispy Shrimp Bowl and a Crab Ragoon Eggroll. I would 100% go back and eat the same exact thing. The cherry on top is the great service by everyone. Like, really great. Will be back."
"This ally joint is no snoozer. Packed on a Friday afternoon around 2 pm. It’s one of the best fried chicken interpretations I’ve had in a long while. The chicken (even the finicky breast meat) was juicy, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. I would recommend the white rice because it can soak up all the sauces and flavors. The side pickles help balancing your bites with acidity. The tofu nuggets were alright. The sauce had a savory sweet thing going on, and the garnishes were fresh and on point. Seating is extremely limited, probably requires a longer wait during busy meal times."
"Ekiben is a local gem I was introduced to by a Baltimore native, and it did not disappoint. The atmosphere is pure Baltimore—loud music, high energy, and a true hole-in-the-wall vibe that makes the experience feel authentic and fun. It’s definitely tight inside with limited space, so be prepared for a cozy (and sometimes crowded) visit. The food, however, is the real star. The chicken was cooked perfectly—tender, flavorful, and incredibly fresh. Every bite tasted like it was made with care, from the protein to the bread and toppings. You can genuinely taste the quality and freshness in every dish. Overall, Ekiben was an amazing experience, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for outstanding food and a true Baltimore-style dining vibe. 🔥🍗"
"So Yummy to my Tummy! My daughter recommended I try Ekiben. Last week, I ordered the Spicy Neighborhood Bird, the chicken was delicious! tender, tasty not over seasoned, and not too spicy. The rice and vegetables were cooked to perfection. I had enough food for two meals which was a bonus! Thank you immensely Ekiben."
