What People Are Saying

"You should go here for the overall dive vibes and because it's local and been around for 3 decades. And it is relatively cheap. Service isn't great. The bartender seemed actively annoyed to be bothered doing his job. (Literally handing you a menu was too much to ask). Food is not what it used to be (been coming here since it was an actual hole in the wall in the 90s and was BYOB. It was better then). It's fine, but it's nothing special. Again, it is overall inexpensive. These are not the "best margs." They are the cheapest margs! $4 for a house marg during HH is like finding a time warp. But it's premade overly sweet slop. It's not very good. Didn't bother finishing it. You'll pay double at Blue Agave in Fed Hill, but. you will get a better drink. Kitchen was quick, which was nice. But you don't get service (or at least we didn't) - just a drop off. Honestly, the set-up they've got going where the bartenders make drinks, take orders, grab food, etc. is...stupid. It's not enough people to do the job well even when it's not busy. Burrito was fine. Beans were good. I might come back, but probably just for some beer and chips."

"Detailed order description at sincerefoodiemia on Instagram 💅🏼 Amazing happy hour margaritas and best chimichanga ever!!! Follow me at sincerefoodiemia on insta if you are curious about which margaritas I got and what I ordered specifically for the chimichanga 😆 Honestly, I want to gatekeep this place because the whole bill which includes 3 margs, chips and salsa, and chimichanga came out to be about $28. IN THIS ECONOMY. Whoever is running Holy Frijoles, God bless you. Basically, you order at the bar and then choose to either keep a running tab or close it. I closed the tab cuz rn I am so broke. The person at the bar taking orders at between 5-7 pm on the 18th was really nice, I always pepper people with questions of what to get and what they recommend but he was super patient with me and I was able to make a good decision. The person who gave me the chimichanga was so nice too, asking if we are all good or need anything and giving us a ton of napkins and plastic utensils. 100% will return again once my wallet is restored from Black Friday shopping 🤡"

"Came here for to see show and it was a great little place. Bar service was quick, even when busy. The drinks were also super reasonable in price. The main reason i came was to support some local music and I can see why people love coming here for shows. Great music space with a unique style."

"Really nice Mexican bar and eatery conveniently located in the Hampden area with adequate seating space. The service was quick, friendly and efficient. They had plant based meat for almost all entrées which was great. We ordered appetisers and they were decent- the taquitos were a bit over fried with very little stuffing. Will try the tacos next time"

"Never had a bad time at this bar! The owner is the coolest cat, and the staff is always amazing :) food is primo! Can’t wait to camp out in front of it again for the annual Mayor’s Day Parade! It’s been a tradition for a long time and this restaurant makes it even better :)"
